Pilots n Paws may be another option to explore - they are a group of volunteer (usually hobby) pilots who help get rescues to their new homes. One of the goat rescues near me has used them quite often to get goats across the country.

Goat rescue?  Wow!

Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016.  Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016.  Lung mets August 25, 2016.  Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016.   Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.

Wherever they are, they are together.

Last I heard and this is coming from one of the volunteers that helps set up fosters and collect the pull fees...he has a foster lined up! laughing

I pledged to cover his pull fee and his siblings pull fee. I got the message that his sibling, Mocha, was pulled yesterday. They said they were still waiting on this baby. Then about 20 minutes later I got a message that his foster was lined up.

I will keep everyone updated!

Thanks for covering his costs!  I am so glad he is on his way to a new life.  And saves him a very long car ride to Chicago😀. . .

So here is the last update I just received...

He has a foster, but no rescue lined up. He needs $50 to cover the rest of his rescue fund.

If you have FB and want to follow his rescue fund update you can join the page, Friends of the Harnett County Animal Shelter. They post pictures of each dog and the status of their rescue.

I am going to bed, my fingers are crossed that I wake up to some good news. There are four dogs in this shelter that need to get out ASAP.

When I get updates, I will post on here.

I really appreciate everyone's support and help!!

THANK YOU DANELL!!!! THANK YOU!!!! 🙂 Sadlyand regrettably, they can't all be saved, but POOCH is saved a d you are his Earth Angel for helping to make that happen!!

And maybe the mercy that saved Pooch, will save the other four.too.

As an aside, have you been following the Virginia and Beyond Tripawd Pawty set up for Memorial Day Week end?? We have members from all over the country coming and across these United States! I know we have Ingrid from NC coming. It's not that kong a drive, really!!

And we'll also have a Celebration of Life tavle set up to celebrate the @ives of our pups who have transitioned to the Bridge.
