Honey, is a Lab mix who was hit by a car and brought into a local shelter.
Owners never came forward and a kind lady stepped in to save her from certain EU, and get her vet care.
She needs a home desperately. All details are on the attached link. It is a Facebook page with plenty of pictures too.
If interested in Honey, or finding out more details, contact Christy Wilson at: mailto:bodyworker1@gmail.com
Thank you so much for posting Honey here--her photo is my avatar. You can find a lot more photos and her full story as it unwound at this link http://www.face.....0596790998
She's a gorgeous sweet young Lab-mix about 12-18 months old. Her right hind leg was smashed beyond repair and had to be amputated about 9 weeks ago, but she doesn't seem to miss it except when she's trying to do 'bunny runs' and make tight turns. Throughout her painful ordeal and to this day she has remained courageous and patient and a delightful joy to be with. She's fully vetted, heartworm negative, spayed and microchipped. She knows commands, she loves people, is nice with cats and dogs and is so eager to please...all she's lacking is a loving, responsible home and her own people to devote herself to. People are so taken with how sweet she is and how beautiful--she has amazing green eyes and super-plushy fur--that they usually don't notice she's missing a limb unless it's pointed out.
Honey is in the Dallas area and currently must board because the dog in her last foster home attacked her and it was not a safe situation for her. I have so many other dogs (6) that much to my dismay, my home would be an even worse fit for Honey--she needs a calm, stable environment and to be the princess of her own domain, not vying for a scrap of attention among so many other attention-hogs. But I take one or two at a time with her to the dog park and she loves that, and I take her out daily for training or some kind of outing, and it makes the scary unhappiness of being kenneled a little less awful.

I love this special girl so completely that she will always be as much one of my own in my heart as the dogs that do live in my home. The animal control Officer begged me to help her and save her life. I did that, gladly and without hesitation despite the sacrifices. But I cannot bring her into my home much as I wish otherwise and I need help to continue to keep her safe and find the wonderful people she was meant to have.
Awww, she is adorable! Thanks for letting us know about her. We'll be sure to put her in the Tripawds Facebook Page too (if you haven't already).
Be sure to keep us posted and if you want, start a Tripawds Dog Blog to tell even more folks about her pawesomeness.
Good luck Ma, you are a saint for taking her in.

Here's a picture of Honey walking in the Texas Blue Bonnets. She's looking for a home to call her own now.
Could it be YOUR'S?????? Just ask yourself. Do you have the capacity to love, and room to take this beautiful little lovebug in?
If so, contact Christy Wilson: bodyworker1@gmail.com
HONEY is a Pitbull/Lab mix. She is a real sweetheart and really needs a home badly. PLEASE share this with anyone who might could help her out of the kennel she currently is living in, all alone! Even a Foster home would be good until a permanent home could be found. Contact Christy (see contact info on flyer)
Thanks,
Maddie Mae and Mama Kelly
She's still looking for a home.
Her rescuer goes to the kennel where she is in boarding and takes her out for walks and socializes her with other dogs and people, but she still is HOMELESS!
She needs and so deserves a shot at a good life, just being allowed to be a dog. Going for walks. Laying at someone who loves hers feet. Giving and getting lots of hugs and kisses.....
Please share this girls story so we can find her a furrever home. The right family is out there, I just know it!!!!
This beautiful Tripawd girl here in the state of Texas is still in need of a home. She is having to live in a boarding facility right now.
It's better than a shelter, but it's not a home with people who love her. It's just existing.
If you have some extra love in your heart and space in your home to share with this beautiful girl, please consider becoming her furrever Mom, or Dad...:)
Contact info is in the previous comments.
Thanks,
Maddie Mae and Mama Kelly
