Found this gorgeous boy on the rescue forums of another site.
He was found tied to a dumpster with a shattered leg. He had his leg amputated 8 weeks ago and is doing well! He is at bright eyes and bushy tails rescue.
Here is his petfinder page http://www.petf.....l/16896635
He is so pretty. I hope he finds a great forever home really soon.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
He is beautiful, I hope someone will be able to give him a wonderful furever home. Grrr that someone could just leave him tied to a dumpster, what's wrong with some people!!

Tasha lost her battle and became my Angel on May 4 2011. Forever in my heart….
Just to update, turns out I'm not entirely sure when his amputation happened. He has been at the vet and not at the rescue for the last 8 weeks, since he came in. Sounds like they tried to repair his leg and that presented complications which lead to his amputation.
Leslie I asked why he needs to be an only dog and she said it's purely because they don't know right now. He is a bit kennel aggressive, but she did say 8 weeks of pain in a crate can do that to any dog, but that he is a dream outside of the kennel and real sweetheart. She thinks with proper introductions he'd do just fine with other dogs. She said they only listed him as an only dog for now until they get the chance to do more around other dogs now that he is healthy and doing well with his recovery!
I emailed them yesterday, but they never replied to me. I saw that he's stuck at a vet's office and feel so sorry for that guy. I might be able to foster him if nothing else. It's horrible for him to have to be stuck in a kennel all the time. He's a 7 hour drive from me. Maybe if they reply to my email I could check on fostering....

Ooooh, another Tripawds match in the works perhaps? Hmmmm.... 🙂

Perhaps not Jerry. I'm sorry to say it might not be a good fit. I emailed them yesterday and their adoption coordinator just got back to me. Below is her email:
Mister is estimated to be about 10 years old. He doesn't look or act this age, but Dr. Allan Berger confirmed that this is roughly accurate, by the way his bones looked during surgery. He did have to have his leg amputated after it being plated. He just wasn't healing; this also supports the age estimate. Older animals don't heal very well. He has shown some aggression towards other dogs and certain people (usually men), but this most often tends to be the case when he is in his kennel. Cage aggression is not uncommon. Our other Bright Eyes adoptable dog "Buck" and "Mister" seem to have barking matches when either of them is kenneled and the other is out. When both out together, they seem to get along fine. So I can't be sure if he is dog aggressive, or just sick of being kenneled. Better safe than sorry and would like to error on the side of caution. Mister seems indifferent about cats. Other than that, he is a great dog and like him very much. Please tell anyone you know about him. The sooner he finds a real home, the sooner he can start living life. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me back.
Her email is td2@bebt.com if anyone wants to reach her. I responded back to let her know if they figure out it's only kennel aggression to let me know. But for now it's a no go. Shame really, he's so beautiful! And being a boxer, if he's 10 he really doesn't have much time left to enjoy.
Chelsea, thanks for your help!
Awww, that's so sad. I do hope that they find someone for this boy. Thank you for trying.

Mister's time is almost up. This old boy desperately needs a home or foster placement...he's becoming unpredictable after being kenneled for so long, and is not good with cats and dogs. They are getting down to the wire, and this poor old guy will be euthanized soon if they can't get him out of the clinic...he's deteriorating quickly and for the sake of his quality of life they can't hang on too much longer. I figured I'd send out one more plea for this big guy!
Oh poor puppy! We'll put this in our facebook page. Thanks for the update.
