I just recently lost my tripawd love of my life. I am looking to adopt another one, hopefully one injured by accident, not by cancer. I live in the NW suburbs in Illinois. Do any of you have a connection to a specific tripawd rescue organization?? Anything you might know will be appreciated. Preferably a larger, sweet young dog.
So sorry for your loss, and best wishes for finding a new three legged friend.
We've moved your post here to a new topic in the Tripawd Rescue Forum where it is more likely to be found by others who may be able to help.

So sorry you lost your beloved dog. There have been a couple of recent posts about adoptable tripawds in Eastern Tennessee-- that's not too far from you. I think they are both young and large (and they sure look sweet-- I think one's a golden mix and the other a husky mix). Search in the rescue forum for ET.
Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011. Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs. If love alone could have saved you…
I'm so sorry {{{hugs}}
We posted this on the Tripawds Facebook Page . Good luck. Please let us know if you find that perfect pup.

I'm so sorry about your loss. This organization seems to have lots of tripawds that need homes but they may be a bit far: http://www.pets.....index.html
They have a courtesy listing for Katie though, who is being fostered in Michigan but the rescue organization is in Chicago: http://www.pets.....html#three
So sorry for your loss. We were looking on the net and found a sweet girl in Grayslake. I think she's at Save-a-Pet. Her name is Peggy, from her picture it looks like she's missing her left rear leg. Here's a link to the page for her.
