This handsome kid needs a furever home ASAP. He is well-mannered and loving, let's get him out of the shelter now!
A538665 – DISO-126 – NEUTERED MALE, BLACK ENG POINTER MIX
This young 1yr old English Pointer mix has been neutered and because of an old injury his front left leg was amputated. He has good manners and needs a new home. He is available for adoption or rescue.
His amputation was on 1/12/10 and he is resting in our Isolation kennel for now. He will be moved to an adoption kennel on 1/19/11 but may be slow to adopt due to his amputation.
A shelter volunteer adds:
"Duncan (neutered German Shorthaired Pointer mix) is a sweetie and while I was there I was told he would go back to adoption but I noticed he had kennel cough so it may be awhile.
He was unable to go outside because of his recent surgery but he sure was adjusting well to becoming a tri pod dog he was happy and wagging. Young guy with a nice temperament. I love this guy he was so happy and sweet!"

We just received an update about Duncan….
Duncan has been returned to the shelter not getting along with other dogs in household. He is still up for adoption at this time, however he needs a single dog home and will have trouble being adopted.
Rescue may be the best chance for this boy-
If anyone knows of a rescue group that will take him, please send them here or let us know and we will contact them. Thanks.
