Hello the rescue I volunteer with was contacted by a shelter in Indiana who has a dog that is paralyzed from the waist down. Her case is a sad one as she was horribly neglected. She was confiscated by animal services immediately and taken to the vet where it was determined she is paralyzed from the waist down. Her back left leg was forced to be amputated as the condition was too severe to save. Our rescue has not been able to secure a foster. There is another rescue helping who has not yet been able to secure a foster either. We are looking for any advice and/or tips to help get this sweet girl out of the shelter and into a foster home. Does anyone have any rescue groups they could refer us to? Lila is a young pointer mix who is full of life and needs a caring home. She will need a cart which the rescue is trying to obtain for her. If anyone can help please contact me and I can provide details on Lila. You can find more about her story on Illinois Shorthair Rescue and Pointer Rescue Organization Facebook pages. Feel free to respond there or you can also email me directly at:

Hi Shandi, welcome. I hope you don't mind I moved your post here but since this is where folks list Tripawds for adoption, hopefully more folks will find out about Lila.

If you can share a link to the rescues FB pages that will be tremendously helpful.

Shandi, I checked the two Facebook groups and shorthairrescue.com and cannot find any mention of a Lila. If you have a URL you can copy and paste into your forum post that would be great. Thanks.
