Thanks to our friend the Uschmonster for passing this along …

Hi There, saw an ad for this dog in our local (western washington; Olympia) paper yesterday…maybe you could post in rescue forum?

three legged mastiff mix rescue olympia, wa

High school kids visit the shelter and do a write-up on an animal per week. this week “apollo” came up. He was a stray and came with an injured leg which was just amputated. he is an XL, male bullmastiff/ labrador mix. The girls who wrote about him said he liked to be used as a pillow, and to use them for a pillow, he was lovable and friendly, he needed a large yard with a 6 foot fence, he shouldn't be with other dogs (no explanation), he loves to run and play and is still recuperating from amputation surgery. perhaps he is just what someone is looking for! He is on the thin side so could use some TLC and extra food at first. Find out more.
