When tripawd Miles was picked up as a stray in Taos, NM, he was running with Buttons. They were housed together in the shelter for the 3 months they've been there. Miles is now home with me in Northern CA, but suffers from separation anxiety. The shelter gal said that he didn't seem to have issues there because he was housed with Buttons. That got me thinking.
I think Miles will overcome his issue here with the SA. But, I can't stop thinking about how sad it is that Buttons was left behind. It's like the orphan siblings being separated forever! I can't take on another dog, but is there anyone here in Northern CA that would be interested in adopting Buttons? How wonderful would it be to get him a furever home, *and* one where they can see and play together now and then?
I believe I can arrange transport through the generous pilots that were going to donate their services for Miles. They were grounded due to the heat wave the week we were trying to get him here. Here is what the shelter says:
"Buttons is a great guy. He is laid back, loves all other dogs and walks well on a leash. Obviously, I have no way of knowing if they have been friends for life, but my "gut feeling" is they have. He came through his evaluation with flying colors. Not food agressive, toy agressive or dog agressive. Loves to be petted and loved on. He is a little more reserved than Baggins (Miles), but develops friendships very quickly."
Can anyone please help Miles' little buddy???
