Oh my gosh just saw this sweetie, she from Westside German Shepherd Rescue in the Los Angeles area and being fostered. Here is her story. Contact WGSR if you are interested.
Leilani von Loitz is a delightful 6 month old German Shepherd puppy as smart as they come. She quickly blended into the pack in her foster home, which includes dogs of both genders, one of which is definitely alpha. Leilani is fully housebroken and great with people. If you’re lucky, she will give you her special smile that shows her pearly white teeth as she grins at you. Her favorite loves are playing with her pack, playing with her toys… and eating. One of Leilani’s rear legs had to be surgically removed but she would be insulted if anyone considered her less than any other able-bodied dog who can go anywhere and do anything. She reacts somewhat on leash but quickly responds to corrections given by Westside’s trainers, becoming calm and non-reactive amid many dogs and people hanging out within steps of her. Leilani needs an experienced shepherd owner who can continue her progress towards perfection.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Oh, she is absolutely beautiful! Shepherd Perfection!! My hubby can be glad she is thousands of miles away. LOL
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
How can it be she's still looking for a home? Wow. Such a sweetie. Please help spread the word. Thanks!

I cannot believe someone has not scooped her up! Maybe it is the " experienced Shepherd owner" that is scaring people. Maybe she can come with some lessons? I am not an experienced Shepherd owner, but, I think if I lived in the area, I would take that sweet girl home. I have a soft spot for a pup that " smiles. " Not sure how I will ever do without my smiling face Chandler greeting me at the door. Hey, maybe she would put Miss Alpha Lucy in her place. LOL I really hope she finds a home real soon! Hmm not real sure but likely due to an accident or neglect by a previous human. Unfortunately it's pretty common. Are you interested in adopting this sweetie? Hope so!
