Hey all, first I stumbled across this honorary tripawd after seeing in the local news that Wisconsin's Iowa County Humane Society is in serious financial trouble and may not be able to keep its doors open into next year.

I wish I was in a position to help more than sending a few bucks their way, but they're too far from me to volunteer at and I can't afford to take in another family member at this time. If I could, I know I'd be taking Gerry go go meet Lily - an honorary tripawd! (The summary says one of her front legs didn't grow right and she's holding it up in pictures that show her whole body - hard to guess what's up with the leg just from pictures). I can't link to her directly, but here's the link to all the adoptable dogs - take a look! http://www.ichs....._dogs.html (Lonnie the rat terrier next to her on the page has some limited vision and hearing if you're looking for a new challenge )
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.
Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com
That's really scary that they're in such bad shape. Darn! Well thanks for letting us know, we'll put the word out, hope others will too.
I'll bet a Rat Terrier with limited vision and hearing is still quite an industrious, hard working dog... their noses are incredible!
