My mom sent me this link and this story just broke my heart...as so many do. Hopefully someone will be interested in rescuing a senior, tripawd and showing him the love and kindness he deserves.
Harry is a 10 year old male, Golden Retriever at Sunshine Golden Rescue in Wallingford, CT. Harry's story is here http://www.suns.....8;Itemid=4
Tasha was a German ShepherdBorder Collie mix who was diagnosed with OSA at age 8. On December 29, 2011 she had her front right leg amputated and received 4 rounds of chemo. Sadly and suddenly Tasha became sick and we discovered she had liver cancer that had spread to her lung. After almost 19 months, Tasha earned her wings on July 17, 2013. No regrets and never forgotten.
what a story. thank goodness someone took an interest in harry, and he is now getting the medical attention he so desperately needed..once again, the human species shows an ugly face. hope harry finds his forever home soon, and has many happy and safe days ahead.
charon & spirit gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
I am in tears reading Harry's story-- what a lovely boy. How utterly EVIL people can be. When I clicked on the link, I found myself hoping he was somewhere near us so I could take him, but I see he's in the NE. While you can easily ship a puppy, not so for an older, ill boy. Praying he finds a good home, and since I can't take him, I'm going to make a donation to help with his care. So unfair -- every single dog on tripawds is loved beyond words, and you have the other end of the spectrum with poor Harry.
Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011. Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs. If love alone could have saved you…
Dogs are so incredibly forgiving of the stupidity and cruelty of some humans. Ugh.
Harry is a beautiful, sweet boy. We hope he finds the forever love he so deserves.

I made a mistake. Harry is actually in AL not CT. He can be transported North to any stop along the route of the transporters that they use or flown to an adopter, provided they can do a home visit.
That should make my mother happy since she hasn't stopped nagging me or sending me emails about "my mistake" since I mentioned I posted about him. Ugh….mothers!!!
