Meet Mosche! He is an adorable golden retriever mix (think shepherd) that was an owner release because he needed more that they could give. Mosche only has three legs BUT he gets along better than you average dog. As a matter of fact, he can hold himself on his front legs just fine. He is very sweet, gentle boy that loves attention from people. He is good with cats, dogs and loves children. He needs an active family with a stay at home or work at home parent that can taking him hiking, running or just chasing the ball in the backyard! He is about 50 pounds, house trained and walks well on a leash.

TYANN is a VERY SPECIAL 1-2 yr old about 40 pounds female husky. Her left front leg was caught in an illegal trap and had to be totally amputated BUT she is getting along well and has learned to move around, play and be active. She still loves people and adores children. She has good manners and would be a very special addition to a family who understands a VERY SPECIAL dog with a huge heart!! We are determined to find just the right loving home for TYANN — YOURS? Lost and stray animals are held at the Newport Animal Shelter for three business days in order to give their owners a chance to reclaim them. After that time period, adoptable animals are held as long as space allows.
Adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $80 (cash or check).
Newport Animal Shelter Hours Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri 11-4, Sat 11 -2.

Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
OMD, what good looking pups! I hope they find good homes soon!
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Oh!!! Those two deserve a really super duper home! Both are cute but that golden mix - is so, so, so cute!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
