Below is a link to Esparanza, a tripawd who is with Baja Animal Sanctuary (same place we got MBBunny Rita). The shelter is in Baja, Mexico, but if you want to meet her you fill out the form on their site and they'll call and arrange a Saturday meet-up at a San Diego Petco.

She is ~1.5, and they are calling her a Black Lab/German Shepherd mix. Here's what they have to say about her:
"Esperanza is 1.5 years old and weighs 42 lbs. She is good with other dogs, good with children but doesn't do well with cats. She is very active, walks well on a leash, is really friendly and loves people. Esperanza was rescued from an abusive owner, She was hit by a car and had a broken front right leg which was never treated. When we rescued her the leg needed to be amputated. She had surgery on 5/25/12 and has recovered beautifully! Please visit our website to complete an application and to read about our adoption process: http://www.baja.....g/dogs.htm"
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Too bad we are so far away.... She's beautiful!
