This pretty girl is in the Denver area and looking for a home.
She's with Colorado Puppy Rescue, and apparently they can't find a family that isn't worried about adopting a Tripawd! Imagine that! Here's her story:"Sasha is a wonderfully well rounded Lab mix. Small for a Lab she weighs in at just under 50 lbs. She has three legs. When you think of a great dog, Sasha is it. She loves her chew toys, but leaves everything else alone.
She had damaged some growth plate in her leg. She was in a lot of pain. The surgery that would save her leg was not a sure bet that the pain and complications would go away. After consulting with 3 vets, this was the clear choice. She's a happy, active dog.
She loves to play, but calms right down when you’re done. She loves... to go for rides in the car and is quiet while she waits for you. She is great with other dogs that don’t overpower her, and has taught shy puppies how to play. She is not a barker and would not make the best watchdog.
She is housetrained at my house and uses the doggy door. Her one bad habit is that she likes to jump up on people to greet them. Oh and if you don’t like pets on the couch, she may not work for you. She comes with her collar & leash, bowls & bed."
Help us find Sasha a furever home. The rescue also needs someone to foster her ASAP. Please contact Colorado Puppy Rescue with any leads or for more info. Thanks!

She'd make a fun sister for Wyatt Ray !
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Awe, she's a beauty. Hope she finds a great forever home really soon.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

ok, hook the trailer back up and bring her to me....and I don't usually do females but DARN how can anyone be prejudiced against this darling, especially with that description and she DOESN'T BARK MUCH....oh I'm in love....and she is black and will look so pretty snuggled up against Magic.....
Maybe she can show Wyatt Ray a thing or two about not barking eh? Hmmmm...

Love Never Ends
Do you know these people at Puppy Rescue? I'm interested! Raven has left a hole in my heart. Funny, he was only a tripawd for 3 months and a quadpawd for 9 years, but I always think of him hopping. Such an inspiring spirit. My only concern is my old senior rescue bulldog Betty. She's dominant, and owns the house now, and b*tches can be b*tches... 🙁 I love her and she deserves all the attention since she patiently sat on the back burner last year with Raven's trials. BUT, if I can find a young dog that will submit to Betty, it may be a good fit? Do you know the foster?

Rottie Raven, osteosarcoma at 8-1/2 years old, amputation in October '09 and in February '10 due to liver mets he went back to heaven where he came from. raven.tripawds.com
Now I have Miles, rottie mix amputee from a shelter and traveled 1500 miles to find his way here through the Rescue Railroad thanks to tripawds.com. miles.tripawds.com
Dawn, it's good to hear from you, and it's really wonderful that you're considering adoption. Heck, Betty could use someone to boss around!
I don't know the group personally but how about giving them a call and letting us know the scoop? Good luck.

Since I'm so far away, I was hoping you knew someone there that could vouch for me. I also would need help with transport, like a Tripawd Rescue Railroad... ??

A friend that is in love with Miles was inspired to adopt a tripawd dog and inquired about Sasha. They said she's already gotten a home. 🙂 🙂 🙂
