Buster is a sweet little guy who was hit by a car and left in someone's yard for over 24 hours. Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue was notified and with the help of a local volunteer, we were able to secure him and get him to the vet. He came to us with a fractured jaw and avulsion injury, which will likely result in the loss of his front leg. The amputation will be covered by the rescue. Buster is only 5-6 months old and has overcome so much in his short time. He is currently searching for his forever home! He is such a great little guy who is good with kids, cats and dogs! His ears go up and down. He is currently being fostered in Warrenton, VA.
Here is a video of him posted from a few days ago: https://m.faceb.....9383431144
If you or someone you know is interested in adopting him, please let me know so that I can directly get in touch with the rescue! Thank you!

Oh my goodness! What a cutie! And right here in Virginia too!!
Thanks for posting!! It's ashame his owners were never found. Someone surely owned this handsome dude! I'm so glad the Rescue group was svle to help him and restore him to health!
Rene! Jim!! Wyatt needs a playmate
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Such a sad story... I'm so glad he was found and the rescue was able to help him.
Bless his sweet little heart. I'm praying that he finds the perfect forever home where he will be loved and spoiled. I wish we could give him a forever home. Unfortunately, we're nursing our seven year old GSD who just had his front leg amputated due to cancer.
Prayers for you sweet little Buster that you recover and you live a long happy life with lots of hugs, kisses and tons of love.

Oh my DOG that boy is making my heart flip flop! Especially with that floppy-eared look of his. Wow, what a stunner.
Rowell will the group let someone from out of the area adopt? Is there transport available for Buster, if so? Just wondering. Thanks.

Yes his adoption is available outside of VA! Where are you located? Let me know if you'd like for me to get you in touch with SSR's caseworkers for Buster!
Oh gosh how I WISH we could bring this guy home. I was asking these questions just so we can help get the word out with as many details as possible.
When it comes to our Wyatt Ray , we just can't bring another dog into our pack without some serious getting-to-know-you sessions to make sure they're compatible. And if you've ever had the chance to meet Wyatt, you'd know how that rarely happens 🙂 He's a lone wolf. How I wish we could have another pup, but that's just not our reality. In the meantime we're always happy to help get the word out.

Oh man, he is beautiful! He is so lucky you found him. I cannot imagine just leaving an injured pup like that. I wish I had room for another but ours keep us on our toes! Good luck to you!

Rowell, I have to say Buster is absolutely brilliant! He is going to handle being a Tripawd NO PROBLEM!!! The way he gets around on 3 is amazing!
How did his surgery go? Are his foster family handling his surgical issues Okay? My Gongases, whoever gets that boy is going to be very fortunate! He’s is a truly lovely looking fella! I’m kinda glad I live up in Canada, or my home could be ‘Buster’ing to full!!!
At the end of Busters video, I saw a video of Draco howling when he was a puppy! Brilliant! Bloody lovely! He was a wolf in disguise you know!!!
Take care and thanks for posting... maybe Buster has already ❤️ someone on site...?! 😉 🤞

Very sad news today. Buster had his amputation surgery today 1/16/18, but he also gained his angel wings too right after becoming a tripawd. When the surgery was done, he went into cardiac arrest. Buster's foster family is devastated and heartbroken, as am I and the whole Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue family. RIP new Angel Buster 😢😭❤
Oh no, that is so sad. I'm so sorry, that just breaks my heart. I'm sitting here crying with you. My thoughts are with all of you. You did a wonderful thing trying to help him, nobody could have known this would happen. Thank God he was with people that loved him when he crossed though. You were the good in his life and he did not have to go alone or with people that didn't care about him.
Jackie ❤️

Rowell, I am shocked once again by your news! I am sorry that you are going through such heart ache! You must be a very special person to be picked to deal with all these very difficult moments! Please pass on my best to the wonderful Foster family that obviously cared very much about Buster! He was a very happy puppy and thankfully he didnt suffer!
Many hugs to you

Ohhhhhhh no! We are really sad to hear this, poor doggie! How we loved that mug of his. He would have made such a great companion.
We send our condolences to everyone, what a heartbreaker. We are so sorry.

This just rips me to shreds!! Stunned!! Imw just sitting here with tears f@owing shaking my head. How can this be! How can fhis happen? I know they are questions with no answers and serve no lirpose. All surgeries'have risks. Period. But for so much to happe. to this beautiful puppy in his short life.....so damn sad.
Buster touched sooooo many lives in his short earthly life Buster jumped into our hearts with your first pose. His pictures always made us smile and reminded us he was, indeed, @oved and cared for!! Buster's time with his "foster" family was full of so much love and happiness. As it tur ed out, that became his furever home and I'm sooooo grateful he got to be surrounded by their love and care.
BUSTER'S. LIFE MATTERED!! His life wasn't cou ted vy days, it was counted by the numerous ways he touched everyone who met him...whether in person or through the energy of a computer.
I know Draco was at the Bridge to greet him and show him. He finally gets to have a real puppyhood...pain free, running, romping, chasing balls and, after a long day of playing, getting massar from the Angels.
Sending love to all
