I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Thanks for letting us know about this pup! How did you hear about him? Can you drop Patty a line and ask her if he's still available? Oftentimes some of the posts from Facebook are outdated, just want to be sure so we can help however we can. Thanks!

As of just under a 1/2 hour ago, he is still in need of a home. There is someone who will do part of a drive to take him somewhere, BUT as of yet, there is no one who will take him...

Alittle good news for you this morning Elizabeth, I just saw a post on the "I'm Not A Monster" fb page that this little boy is SAFE! They will be updateding his status from the Greater Charlotte SPCA so that we can follow his journey. It also says- "Thank you everyone who cared, networked & Pulled him!!" (That would include you, Elizabeth! )
If I was a bit more tech-savy, I could've put the links in...sorry!

I am so glad! It says (once I found the page) that the facility is an animal shelter.... Is he safe from euthanasia? I didn't see his picture when I went on their site...

That's great news!
Thanks for verifying his status. Hope he finds a home soon. I just went to the "I'm Not a Monster" Facebook page, for some reason all of the photo links are broken

That is wonderful news. I was thinking about this gorgeous little boy last night hoping he woud be OK.
Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. My beloved heart dog, see her memoirs from Rainbow Bridge ...... http://princess.....pawds.com/
Well, I don't know that he is okay yet. It seems that he went to a non government animal control facility. I can't find his info yet on their website, so it is up in the air. He isn't adopted and he is still in need of a home. Hopefully the facility he went to will be providing some relief for his leg. I can't find more info on him.... I am worried
