I was the one who mentioned in the forums I couldn't comment! And I was going to ask the Admin Guy for help anyway! You have written a supberb chronicle for anyone starting this journey and we are grateful. So no you silly Goose, no one thought you were "begging" for comments! I WANTED to comment but couldn't!!
And I love the concept you and your daughter created with an easy flow from one day to the next.
You REALLY have given newbies a great course in what to expect. Thank you!!!
With appreciation
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
BTW...love his avatar pic! Those eyes just melt my heart!
Sally, I have to tell you your posts on the forums are amazing and so uplifting! You are a ray of sunshine for all of us dealing with this nightmare. Thank you
Fionn uses those eyes very effectively. One of the reasons he's so "fluffy" and it's clearly a golden retriever thing. I've had 4 and they all were good at the sad, begging eyes. Makes you automatically say "aww, want a cookie?" like they have power over our minds!
Nancy- mom to the FABULOUS Fionn. He rescued me in 2015 when he was 6.
Right front leg amputation at age 7 for osteosarcoma 10/6/16. Taken too soon 6/12/17. Read about our journey here:

I wanted to set up my blog with clickable pages rather than having to scroll backwards through posts to get to the beginning of someone's story.
Please feel free to set up your blog, however you like!
Just keep in mind that new Pages are not automatically shared anywhere, like all blog posts are.
You might also consider turning off the option in your Menu settings to auto-add all pages, or that menu is gonna fill your whole page soon—and will keep growing. The alternative (if you wish to stick with publishing Pages) would be to create a new page to set as your Home page. On that page, you could include a brief intro, with a list of links to all your pages. But again, you would need to update this every time you add a page...

Nope, still not working for tavlets.
The issue may be related to the selected theme, which if changed would quickly determine if that is indeed the case. We would need to investigate this further, but only have an iPad for testing, which will have to wait a while.

I wasn't really trying to fish for comments I swear! Really! Now I feel like a toddler begging for attention, lol
You weren't! Absolutely not! I never thought that. I did think that you might feel disappointed when nobody had commented simply because I know full well that when I post something I am always really hoping someone will read it and comment and invariably thrilled when they do. Blogging is a form of communication after all, and if you never hear anything back, it's like you're just typing into the void.
I'm really pleased you raised this issue because you have created such a full and invaluable resource and I wouldn't ant to miss it. The page vs blog thing is a double whammy, because not only could people not comment, they weren't alerted that you had posted and directed to your blog. I always check the 'Recent Blog Posts' list at the top of the page, and then click on the links. If you don't want to change it to a blog, you could always post a message in Shout Outs to let us know when you've posted something new. Quite a few members do that in any case. Also, you could create a signature to go under your comments with a link to your blog. That's what I've done, for example (always hoping people will visit and leave a comment...)

Which brings up a good point!
Comments are off by default for Pages. When creating a new page, be sure to tick the Allow Comments checkbox. After randomly checking a few of your pages, it appears that some (many?) of your pages may still have comments turned off. This would explain being unable to comment, regardless of using tavlet, phone, or PC.
@rmmom You may want to go through all your pages at Dashboard -> Pages and click Quick Edit for each, to ensure that Allow Comments is on (checked).
Hope that helps!

Thanks for that suggestion! You are right, I had forgotten on the last bunch of pages. I have corrected it 🙂

Whew, glad I didn't come off as disgruntled and attention mongering! I haven't decided if I want to change the format yet, but your idea of putting a message in Shout Outs is a good idea. I need to make a signature too, but right now mister Fionnster wants a potty walk and I am nothing if not responsive to his needs. Speaking of a toddler wanting attention......
