Nevermind...I refreshed the browser and it loaded. It really didn't solve the original problem though. You still can't see her ears 🙂
Normally, I am pretty good at this techie stuff, but tonight this silly forum has defeated me. I was going to change my avatar, (because Diane thought Trouble had spaniel ears!). First I couldn't find the dashboard, when I finally found it I couldn't get the picture to load right, even after I resized it. Photobucket wasn't cooperating, so I came back and uploded a picture and used the alternate button. It loaded into the dashboard and says that is my avatar, but it is't. The old one is still showing on the forum.
Don't know if I did something wrong, or if there is a problem. You can check it out when you get time, I'm certainly not in any hurry.

This is usually resolved by clearing your browser cache. I guess I'm not exactly sure what trouble you're having. Did you have problems cropping the image? The avatar I'm seeing (right now) shows Trouble from the right, sitting by a chair or stool.
Not sure what Photobucket has to do with your avatar either. For avatars, you must upload an image file. It must be JPG or PNG, larger than 128x128, but not a huge file.

Let me repeat Jim's standard answer/question – Did you clear your cache? Often, even during a refresh, browser's will check their cache to see if graphics have already been downloaded. The browser will (in an attempt to minimize time) use the existing graphics rather than downloading what it thinks is the same graphics rather than the updated graphics. I attempt (poorly) to explain why you hear the clean cache so very often. Hope that this helps.

PS: After posting I see that the cache comment was being posted at the same time. Not sure if that is a case of great minds thinking alike or two old fools following the same path.
Also, after clearing my cache and reloading the page, I too see the new Trouble. See it does work!!!! Ain't science nice when it works!!!

Perhaps both! Two great foolish old minds ...
Thanks for the input Bob!

I usually create my avatars in Photobucket so I can use them in both forums where I am active. The other forum is phpbb and the application doesn't have the ability to take the photo and resize to an avatar. You have to create the avatar outside of the application and import it in.
Thanks Jim & Bob for the comments, you guys are funny!

Ahh... I was thinking of photobucket.com, the photo-sharing site. Our WordPress MU Avatars plugin allows upload and cropping of avatar images. But if the image is too small (or the file size too large) the upload may fail. Sorry for the confusion.
