Yesturday, I tried leaving two comments on the Tripawds Tuesday blog and neither of them have shown up? I tried again this morning and it’s still not working. Do I need to do something different?
the first comment had a couple of emoticons in it, but I made sure that the second message and the one this morning had none.

Sure they did. 
They just showed up in our spam folder among 987 other recent spam comments. Because the first one was spammed, subsequent comments submitted rapidly after that likely were too.
Do I need to do something different?
Nope, just beware that future comments may be more likely to get spammed too. So please let us know if a comment does not appear, rather than attempt commenting again
the first comment had a couple of emoticons...
Emojis. It's a small technicality, but makes a big difference in the never-ending battle against spam.

Once a comment has been spammed, subsequent comments from the same user may be more likely to get spammed until their IP address changes (which happens automatically at varying times depending upon the ISP), and it may take some to retrain the algorithms to learn the comments are legitimate. Sorry for any inconvenience!

I am writing in regards to Leslie Early. This is the message I got from her this am:
Hola Petra - don't know why this site is giving me so much trouble logging on. I received <site credentials deleted> and it will not let me log in. Now I am locked out!! Would like to re-set all of this as that Password is terribly ungainly! Can you help me aS I WANT TO GET ONTO THE SITE AND ANSWER QUESTIONS personally.

We would love to help! We're desperately trying to communicate with Leslie via email so you don't have to be in the middle of all this, but have yet to receive any replies to our messages.
First, Leslie used the wrong username, or at least typed/pasted the wrong username in the email you received from her.
Second, there is a reason passwords are "ungainly" and we cannot risk making them simple, or the same as the member's username, or exposing them publicly here. "It will not let me" is also very vague and does not help us troubleshoot what may be going on with the attempted log-in issues.
We will reach out again via email with explicit instructions and a request for more information so we can get Leslie logged in ASAP. Should you be in touch with her before she gets our email, or in case she doesn't, please let her know:
1. We have emailed the site credentials again.
2. Please copy and paste them into the login form above the forums. (Both username and password are case sensitive. Email address can also be used instead of username.)
3. Please provide more specific details about any sort of issues encountered when logging in. (Any error messages? Does page refresh? What Browser? Are javascript and cookies enabled? What device? Have you tried another browser?)
4. Multiple failed log-in attempts may result in the user getting temporarily blocked or banned. Symptoms of being blocked include not being able to load any page of the site at all and/or a white page with "service unavailable" or similar message. If the account has been blocked (we have no idea based on info provided), we will need the IP address to remove the block.
We'll get this sorted out, we promise!

just getting online after a busy day... I don’t think you can relate at all can you?!
i have passed on all messages and will hope to hear back from Leslie by tomorrow morning. I don’t mind being the middle man, it just makes things a little bit slower, but it would be far better if Leslie could come on and give direct feedback!
