Ans yes, I did try and reload like that stupid Java message said.....a d I didn't touch any of the stupid "disable or whatever" settings it referred to in betwee t the three seconds it took me to send the testing reply that it took, and the follow up reply it did not take

OK, I cleared cache and cookies, tried firefox and chrome on my PC, activated WP Spam Shield and the other spam blocker disappeared before I could deactivate it but I see you eradicated it altogether. I ensured that JavaScript and Cookies are enabled. And ... I tried commenting on the following "trouble" blogs today (for dymond's I tried firefox and chrome, all others were just firefox) and got the following messages:

Thanks! We encountered this too, and confirmed it's related to the SpamShield plugin which we thought was the solution. Well, it was, until that popped up after a coincidental update that just came out!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

The allow proxies setting was indeed deselected on Michelle's blog. It is off by default, and we likely forgot to select it when activating the new anti-spam plugin.
We have just changed the setting, so you should be able to comment again...if not, let us know what errors you receive. (You should not get the same error now, but if you do, consider clearing your cache, relaunching your browser and trying again.)
FYI: We've moved your post to this topic where members are reporting issues commenting on blogs. The other topic is about the forum replies "ahah" issue we believe has been addressed.

Martha, I think the Admin Guy said this is just relat to tavlets. Were you on a tavlet? Maybe when the "computer migratio " thing happens, it will take care of tavlet issues....and typos..tee..hee

Doubt it, the issue is an anti-spam plugin conflict which we are fixing on a blog by blog basis when users report it and provide links. So thanks for the links! Try commenting on Steve's Blog again.
