Please provide links to blogs where you've commented if the comment does not publish. This will make it easier for us to determine if there is a problem, or if the comment was just misidentified as spam, as was the case with Kathy's comments on Hunter's blog, which we just approved.
Any member whose comments are getting spammed should please clear any browser cookies as we've previously suggested if it happens frequently. Sending a PM to the blogger if you feel a comment has been spammed so they can check their spam folder will also help everyone here in the ongoing battle against spam.
We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to to the sensitive nature of this community, we believe it is better to err on the the side of false positives when it comes to stopping spam, than it is to let an onslaught of messages through promoting UGG boots, Viagra and Asian escort services.
PS: We have not disabled all spam protection on any Tripawds blog. Akismet is activated across the entire network to protect everyone from the huge amount of spam this network receives, so all bloggers should make it a habit to periodically check their spam folders for legitimate messages as Michelle described.
PPS: Finally, if a reader has Javascript turned off or does not accept cookies, as is a common security setting in corporate environments, comments will indeed vaporize and never even get spammed. This is a client-specific setting beyond our control.

This is the one I commented on last night. http://sassysug.....pawds.com/ Michelle and I were just emailing and she has checked and still doesn't see this, even in spam.
I guess I mis-wrote whatever you did with my blog regarding disabling spam. I know you did not disable all spam across the board, but you did do something. Whatever that nebulous "something" was, it let lots more spam comments into my spam box. In the past, those comments never even made it into my spam box. Now they do. They don't show up anywhere because I delete them, but I at least see them. And no, I do not want Ugg boots or Asian escort services, but the unlimited pounds of tramadol sounds enticing! (And I completely agree with you about priorities on spam. I want to be clear that I am not whining and saying I want you to let it in so my one comment can come through. I'm only trying to help us all figure out what might be holding back the comments. It's a mystery to be solved!)

We just checked Sassy's blog and approved the comment from you that was in her spam folder.
If you have not yet reset your cookies, try doing so then relaunching your browser. You will then need to re-enter your password when logging in again.
We did disable the additional WP-Spamfree comment spam protection activated on Dakota's Tripawds Supporter blog , but the network wide protection provided by Akismet is still active.
The only thing "holding back" comments on any Tripaws blog could be the Akismet anti-spam network configuration which we have no control over, or the previously mentioned client side Javascript and cookie settings.
We do appreciate any and all feedback. Keep it coming!
Thank you.

I'm wondering how you could see the comment in spam but Michelle could not. Is that something in her settings? Are there 3 months' worth of comments backed up in her blog? Time for a cyber-laxative?

Perhaps the message arrived after she looked, or we're speaking of different comments
This is the post with the comment we approved: http://sassysug.....0/feb-9th/
It was submitted and identified as spam by Aksimet on Feb 11, 2013 @ 4:41 and we cleared it just about an hour ago.
Is that something in her settings?
No. I see no more than she does as Admin of her blog, at least when it comes to comment management.

No, Michele keeps a pretty tidy spam folder and has no messages in her trash. Good blogger!
