Hey there,
For some reason, I can't post to people's blogs??
Also, for some reason, I can't click on any subject at all when I'm home on my new computer, if I'm signed in. If I'm not signed in, I can click on stuff.
Haven't been on much because of that........

Hmmm... we'll need some details and clarification in order to help:
1. By posting on people's blogs, do you mean commenting? And if so, do the blogs identify you as being logged in? Can you enter a comment, but it just doesn't post? If this is the case, the comments may be getting blocked as spam. Please provide a link to a couple blogs you tried commenting on so we can see if that id the case.
If you cannot even enter a comment at all, please describe what you are experiencing.
2. What "subjects" are you referring to? Do you mean Forums and Topic titles? Blog links or what? What happens when you do click? Does the page attempt to load but you are not redirected? Does your progress icon just spin? Any errors? Also, when you hover over a "subject" does the link appear in your status bar?
If the issue occurs only when logged in, you may need to reset your browser cookies. Delete any cookies you have from tripawds.com, quite and relaunch your browser. You will then need to re-enter your password when accessing the site again.
Instructions for clearing cookies differ depending on which browser you use. And it is always a good first step to clear your browser cache when troubleshooting these issues. Javascript also needs to be enabled.
3. Finally, we really need to know what type of PC/device and which web browser you are using when encountering any trouble. And if you receive any error messages, we need to know those too.
Thanks for the update and sorry for the inconvenience.

1. Yes, I type a comment on people's blogs but it never shows up. Two of recent is Roxy's and the 3/4 BC...I forget her name at the moment! Yes, they identify me when I'm signed on.
2. I cannot click on any topic in the Forums at all on my laptop at home(Windows 8) IF I"m in signed in. I can, however, click and read them if I do NOT sign in. Weird.
It is a brand new laptop, do I need to delete cookies?? How?? Using Internet Explorer.

I just had that experience of posting to a blog- but the post disappears. It has happened before- but now I know what blog is was: http://whatever.....on-day/. I did show logged in as krun15. I am on a PC at work using Firefox.
I typed a comment, hit submit, and the post was gone. In the past I have seen a message saying that my comment was waiting for moderation- but that did not happen. When I backed out I got back to my comment and hit submit again- then I got a message saying I had already posted that comment. That would make me think that it was showing as spam I guess? - is that different than when I get the message saying that the comment is waiting for moderation?

Affirmative. The comment was filtered as spam, likely due to the links. It looks like Sarah caught that and unspammed the comment since it is now appearing.

Yes, all first comments are pending moderation by default and the user receives a message stating such. Spam comments, however, get filtered without notice.

OK, this time I posted without links, but the post still dissapeared. I was going to ask if this was related to adding links but I guess not. Is it something in the blog owners settings or is is something wordpress does?
Most recent was in Cookie's blog: http://cookiemo...../01/08/31/

Here's another one that didn't work: http://bigskyte.....-day/. Also- on this page there says there are two comments- but when I click on that nothing happens- well I mean no comments are visible. The URL gets #comments added to it. Today I am on my Mac using Firefox.

Using Internet Explorer.
Please try using Firefox or Chrome to help us determine if this is a browser specific issue. It's weird indeed, and we are unable to recreate the issue you describe, but then we don't use Exploder.
Cookies should be found in your IE privacy or security preferences. Select any cookies from tripawds.com, delete them and relaunch the browser.
We're especially interested in hearing if the problem persists in other browsers.

It didn't disappear, it was just flagged as spam. Unfortunately, once Akismet has detected spam by a certain users, future comments are likey to be spammed.
Is it something in the blog owners settings or is is something wordpress does?
Yes. Bloggers have discussion options that can be set to more strictly control spam, but Akismet is rather automated with no settings since all filtering is done on their system.
It looks like teomoon unspammed your comment on Teo's blog. We unspammed the comment on Cookie's for you.
FYI: When a blog indicates x number of comments on a post but none are showing, the comments are usually awaiting moderation.

In the past I have gotten a message that my comment was awaiting moderation- does that not happen any more?
I have to say this is pretty frustrating- I don't feel like spending time posting in blogs because nothing I have posted in the past couple of weeks has shown up. If the member is new and/or not that familiar with blogging I'm afraid that they won't get messages because they don't know how or where to look in a spam folder. And I have noticed that we have quite a few bloggers who I never see in the forums. I'm not sure how you can let them know about messages being spammed. Seems like a lot of work for you to go in and unspam every time I post somewhere. Here is the one I just posted in:http://boscotor.....muptation/
Oh well.

Yes this does happen (unless a user has changed the settings), for first comments on any given blog. All first comments are held for moderation by default. The user receives a notice, unless the comment is flagged as spam.

Welcome to my world.
I don't feel like spending time posting in blogs because nothing I have posted in the past couple of weeks has shown up.
I have checked a few of the blogs you provided links for, on which you commented, and approved them or noticed that Bloggers had already done so.
As I've tried to explain before, unfortunately since you had a comment identified as spam, you may be likely to get spammed again by blogs on this network since they are all part of the same WordPress installation running the same plugin. That's just how Akismet works, but it is beyond our control since all filtering happens on their servers.
If the member is new and/or not that familiar with blogging I'm afraid that they won't get messages because they don't know how or where to look in a spam folder.

We do our best, believe me.

Affirmative.

Thank you. Providing a link is the only way we can confirm if something is actually malfunctioning. In this case, all is working as it was designed to do. Unfortunately it was designed for single blog installations.
We approved your comment on Bosco's blog. You might try clearing any cookies from tripawds.com and relaunching your browser to see if that helps, though I'm fairly certain Akismet records IP addresses.

Note to all:
We've investigated the spammed comments issue further, and clearing your cookies may indeed help. Also, please let us know if you receive a notice of comments being spammed on any new Tripawds blogs created after this date, not any existing blogs. This will help us determine which anti-spam method may be the aggressive one.
Thank you.

I've also had problems entering comments on blogs. I tried posting (maybe last week) on Hunter's Second Chance) three times and it never entered. Now this morning, I tried to enter on Dakota's page and again nothing. I was logged in both times so ???
Harley is an 8 year old Golden Retriever. Amp surgery for an infiltrative lipoma canceled due to two masses in chest. A rescue, he found his forever home on 3/18/07 and left for his eternal home on 1/09/13. His story and medical history are at http://myharley.....pawds.com/
Kathy did indeed post on Dakota's blog this morning. I've learned to go to my spam filter each morning and see what's there. Today there were comments from Kathy and Codie Rae.
So who should be clearing cookies to see if it helps? The blog author or the ones posting?
And I have also tried to post on new blogs, created after the above date, and had them not appear. I just assumed that was because I was an unknown to them and they would have to approve me once and then all would be well. That's not been the case, though. I know someone here who has been writing a blog for 3 months and only one comment has appeared. I find it hard to imagine that only one comment has been made. I commented on her blog last night and this morning it hasn't appeared yet.
If you have ideas, keep 'em coming. I'd like to make it so all my old friends can comment like they used to be able to. (You disabled all spam filters on my blog so I could see if it helped; it did not. On the upside, I can order as many weird drugs as I want now!)

I know I have been checking my spam folder and only 1 comment appeared there and I check every day on my blog. I have checked with my aol browser & also use firefox and its the same way.
