LOL! This is what you, Ms Jackie, are supppsed ro help me "fix" on my tavlet! Reference back to the thread we "closed" for the Admin Guy as a present to him.
Ues, the bottom half no longer exists on my smaller tavlet since the upgrade.
Look at the video and you'll see what you have to do to view the new and unread (or read) posts.

I'm not sure i knew was same problem but i already did all the cache clearing in this cell phone....dang ( for lack of more appropriate verbage) id get kicked out for sure if i let it roll.... Lol

Yes! I saw it. You did a better job than i did!! I know there have been so many differences but that is a major one. I hope this can be fixed for all devices. I have been unsubscribed from several forums and that's what helps me stay in touch, so to speak.

I've been "unsubscribed" on many topics too, along with still not getting notifications. I feel very out of the loop, and it is so time-consuming to scroll thru every topic to find ones I've been following. I'm still hoping there can be a fix. I've done all the suggestions, but still no luck. Are there people out there who this is functioning correctly for? Think of "newbies" to the site, are they missing out on stuff? Sorry to be such a pain about this, but it is SO frustrating!

I finally caved and opened my tavlet. Mind you, I went right to Tripawds and have not "cleaned" anything out yet. My little tavlet (little, big??) sees everything the same way my desktop does, woo hooo! (now I am afraid to clean it, lmao!)
I am ready for ya Sally... we can give it a team effort and see if we can get your other tavlet up to date! I have done all of my baking and cooking (except for dinner, haha) so I have plenty of time now and will be home.
Fingers crossed... and a little Christmas magic

Oops! Thanks for pointing this out! 
Looks like the recent unread topics got dropped off the footer when rebuilding the mobile template. It still displays in desktop browsers. This affects any mobile device or tablet. We'll get that added back ASAP, but it will likely be later this week due to Christmas travels...In the mean time, there is another easy to view recent and unread topic.
Use the New / Updated Topics Menu. This menu is user-specific. Any topic with the small quote bubble icon indicates replies that specific user has not viewed yet...

We are still aware of the subscription email notification issue certain members are still experiencing, and we shall continue to get to the bottom of that. Please be aware that the developers we turn to for support on issues beyond our control like this, will not be available to assist until after the new year.

Feel free to add this to the tutorial videos topic, with a little description about what your doing, and...
How you scrolled right past the New /Unread Topics menu! 
Everything else in this video looks like it is displaying properly...aside from the recent topics missing from the footer. We'll get our team on that ASAP, we promise.
