Attention Mod Pawd (and anyone else interested)!
We really appreciate it when you add links directing new members to sign up for a blog. Thank you! But here's something you wouldn't know: those links will only work for a short period of time. I just noticed one, and fixed it, so I thought I'd post here to let you know how the Tripawds signup page link works …
We have implemented an anti-splog tactic that dynamically changes the URL for the signup page every 24 hours. It keeps spam bloggers guessing, and has been working great! But it means any static link to the signup page you may copy – from the header navigation, for instance – will no longer work once the current URL expires.
But you can still keep linking to the signup page! Here's how …
1. Just point people to the About page which describes Tripawds blogs in detail and includes a signup link that will always be current, or…
2. Use this dynamic URL shortcode whenever linking to the signup page:
By using this code in the URL field when embedding a link – without the spaces – the link will automatically update as needed. Just like magic!
NOTE: You must remove the spaces for the dynamic link to work. I had to add them here or it would convert to the current signup url. Keep the brackets and underscores, just delete the two blank spaces. Give it a try for yourself with a reply here and see what happens. Then check the post and see how the URL changes every day ... all by itself!

Okie doke - thanks for the head's up! I've been linking like crazy. I'll try to catch some old ones and change it.

She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
