Voice for the Animals Seeks Tripawds for Student Presentations
"We are an animal protection organization based out of Los Angeles, California. We are currently searching for a three legged dog to accompany our Humane Education presenter on his visits to local middle and high school classes.
Our presenter is LA City Attorney Robert Ferber, the first full-time prosecutor in the nation to exclusively prosecute animal abuse and neglect cases. Bob has extensive experience working with animals and young people (he’s been rescuing the old, disabled and “unadoptable” for the past 35 years) and has been taking disabled and "unwanted" dogs, cats and even rats to schools for the past twelve years. Using his unique background and credentials, Bob uses these so-called "damaged" animals as vehicles for teaching children compassion and empathy for others, no matter how different they may be.
We were hoping that you might know of a three legged dog and his/her owner residing in Los Angeles (preferably the West Side or close to it) who might be interested in lending their time to our Humane Education program. It is such a wonderful opportunity to enlighten children and create a better future for tripawds everywhere. We present to approximately two schools per month and presentations are approximately one hour long."
