Well...the good news is I completed the survey late last night. The less good news...I think I screwed it up!

Hiw could I screw something up soooooo simple, you ask?

Okay, all questions regarding pain, I amswered coming from a point of refering to the pain from recovering from the surgery itself.......

Sally & Daniela, here is what Dr. Rosati says (he had trouble posting so asked me to share this)

"Dear all, First of all thanks for the time you took in order to complete the survey.

The questionnaire was designed to detect information about Pain experienced before and after amputation, hence you did it correctly. We want to find out if dogs and cats can experience Phantom Limb Pain and if we can detect it through our/your observations. In a subject that do not express him/herself in words, it can be hard to establish.

All your answers are valuable and we´ll be analyzed, don´t worry! Your contributions are important to us as well! One of our primary goals was in fact to determine the prevalence of Phantom Pain .

Thanks again! Dr. Marco Rosati"

So you see, you didn't mess up!

YA! YAHOO! I like not messing up!

I was just trying to wrapy my head around how "they" would distinguish between phantom pain snd surgical pain if others, like Daniela and myself, were referncing surgical pain...while others were referencing phantom pain .

Clearly they have it figured out. Whew! Thanks to Dr. Rosati for clarifying AND for the commitment to helping provide better quality for those faced with this journey.

THANKS JERRY!

I was starting to think I messed up too. I don't know what kind of pain Mona actually had because she was acting crazy racing around the house. Anyway, I hope our responses help.
