Jerry,
Thanks for posting this new survey.....I am finding it has become very helpful for my own healing process to take part in some of these surveys. If it can ultimately help others going through this awful journey, that is all the better.
Much Love,
Bonnie & Angel Polly
Oh that's so great to hear Bonnie, thank you. I agree, helping others is great therapy for everypawdy.

Hey everypawdy, we have a VERY important survey that needs your feedback. Both past and present Tripawd cat and dog pawrents are needed to answer these questions about phantom limb pain. It doesn't matter if you think your Tripawd had phantom pain or not, so hop on over!

Well...the good news is I completed the survey late last night. The less good news...I think I screwed it up!
Hiw could I screw something up soooooo simple, you ask?
Okay, all questions regarding pain, I amswered coming from a point of refering to the pain from recovering from the surgery itself........every question addressing pain AFTER the amputation...ie, length of time pain lasted,; how soon did it show up after the amputation; what pain meds were used, etc. So in my very tired state last night, "after amputation" equated ro "after surgery" to me. All responses were referencing lain from the surgery. And the survey was referencing phantom limb pain from amputation, not surgical pain from amputation surgery.
My Happy Hannah had a lot of surgical pain, but never really showed lain that I could identify as phantom limb (that I can recall anyway).
Am I making any sense at all??
Anyway, I think my response needs ro be kicked out somehow. You techie geniuses can do that, perhaps?
Sorry...ugh!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
You make total sense Sally, and you did it correctly. They want to know about ALL pain after amputation so no worries OK? Thanks for filling it out.
We have about 150 responses but would love more folks! Thanks for taking the time.

Perhaps I screwed up also. That makes two of us. I answered just like Sally - pain after amputation, not phantom pain . Because of that, pain and symptoms were gone after two weeks. Perhaps they will rule us out because the pain does not persist.Johnnie's surgeon did nerve blocking so he wouldn't have phantom pain or any type of muscular twitching. It worked.

Our awesome Golden Boy was diagnosed for OSA in April 2014 in the proximal humerus, front-leg amp on 05/20/2014. Finished chemo (Carbo6) on 07/10/2014. Ongoing treatment: acupuncture + K-9 Immunity Plus ( 3chews) and home-cooked no-grain diet. Stopped Apocaps because of liver issues. Liver issues: controlling altered enzymes with SAM-e and Milk Thistle. October 17: started having seizures. Taking fenobarbital for seizures. April 18: started prednisone.
I've asked Dr. Rosati to chime in. Stay tuned.
