Hey everypawdy. This summer my pack is working full-time in the mountains of Colorado, at a very old dude ranch where I used to love to play. They're working their tails off until September-ish, so their time is pretty limited. Which means hardly any hours left to tell you about the latest Tripawds gear, news, nutrition ideas, etc. This bums them out, so they got to thinking it would be so pawesome if others wanted to share their own Tripawds news with the community, to help keep the blog content going strong.
Here's How to Contribute to Tripaws Blogs
You don't have to be a professional writer to contribute a blog post. Just PM us with honest, from-the-heart writing about things that have made your Tripawd journey easier and more enjoyable. For example:
- Share your Tripawds' journey with the world, or give everyone some general tips and ideas that you've learned since joining the community. This could be about coping with the diagnosis, or letting go at the end of life. Got good stories about three legged rescue dogs? Anything related to three-legged animals is greatly appreciated!
- Do you know something about healthy canine diets for dogs with or without cancer? How about sharing your Tripawds' nutrition plan? Or your favorite supplements? Anything related to food and health care is welcome!
- Got a favorite Tripawd workout you'd like to share? What kind of equipment, assistive aids and other dog gear have you found that's helped your pup?
- Share photos of your favorite items from the Tripawds Gift Shop ! Tell us about why you like it, and what kind of reaction people have when they see your Tripawd Pride.
- What have you found on Amazon that's made your Tripawd's life easier? We want stories about anything from books to household products like ramps and beds. Write a review and spread the word about great Amazon deals.
General Requirements
We're easy! Here's what we would love:
- Keep posts to about 300 - 500 words. Going a little over is OK but not more than 1,000.
- Include photos, links to videos, etc. to make it interesting
- Send us a brief two or three sentence bio to accompany your story.
That's it!
So, who's ready to give this blogging thing a whirl?

Oooo Yeah! You guys take care of the city slickers on the dude ranch and MBBVP and I will take care of everything...bhwahahahahahahahaha!
I can just picture a Mongo GSD sitting round the campfire eating his beans

Maybe we should take the Monkeybutts up on their offer for help. We could do a Tripawd/Monkeybutt "point-counterpoint" post, like they used to do on Sixty Minutes. (Oh, gawd, soooo showing my age there...)
Then again, it would likely devolve into something like the classic Saturday Night Live parody w/ MBBVP calling some poor TWP a "misguided ignorant slut". (Am I alone here on Memory Lane? Come on, now - I know most of you are as old as me! Or close to it anyway...)
Seriously - I had been thinking about doing a post about artemisinin (on my long-neglected tripawds blog), because people PM me about it sometimes, and it would be nice to have the info in one place that I could point them to. Maybe I could do something on that for the nutrition blog? (I don't really want to do it on my old blog anyway - looking at it makes me sad, because the last post was from Abby...) 🙁
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
You crazy Monkey dogs! If we let you have your way here, Google would strike us from the Interwebs!
Jackie, artemisinin ,....yes! That would be awesome. We don't have any really detailed posts about it.
Micki, we can't wait to read something, thank you!

Oh my dog!
DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT LET THOSE MONKEYBUTTS START WRITING NEWS BLOGS (especially mine!)!
Too bad Jackie and Pegz mom are the only old ones that remember, "Jane, you ignorant slut." I, of course don't remember. Nor do I remember that David Letterman started out with a morning show or that Andy Kaufman started on the Dean Martin Variety show. As a matter of fact....Andy Kaufman who?
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Now, I'm dying-- that is hilarious! Will Pegz ever forgive you?
Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011. Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs. If love alone could have saved you…

OH MY DAWG...I am dying right now.
Just re-read my post. I meant to say that Pegz says..."Jane you ignorant slut"
Instead I said "Pegz you ignorant slut".
I CANNOT BELIEVE I CALLED MY DOG A SLUT on the internet.
You made me snort milkbone outta my nose! Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is so funny, Karen! When I saw that, I thought maybe you were quoting what the MBBVP would say... and I couldn't figure out why...
I'm sure Pegz will forgive you... if the correct number of meatballs are offered up!
Jackie
[And, yes, we are kinda off topic now! But I promise to attempt a post about Artemisinin !]
