Hey everypawdy!
It's never too early to start thinking about making the first annual Tripawds Foundation Fall Fundraiser Online Auction a big success!
We would love for a volunteer to take the lead on this and run with it. Between now and Labor Day we need to have commitments from people to donate auction items. It takes an organizer to do the asking and coordinating. Could that be YOU?
If you're interested please PM me and we'll get started with a plan. Thanks for helping Tripawds Foundation be the best three-legged animal support resource it can be!

I will certainly be on a committee and help procure items but fall becomes my busy time so I can't commit to chairing this. But definitely let me know how I can reach out and solicit for items during the summer months when my schedule is supposed to ease up ...

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Awesome, thanks!

Ok, I will co-chair with someone if someone will help. I am busy but I have had some great people giving me some help and offering to do things on FB for me. So here is the deal because we have my niece & nephew every other week this summer that is why I am asking for a co-chair.
I have a friend who is a pampered chef rep and said she will do a fundraiser online and the group would receive 15% of the show sales. Also she makes leashes and is offering to donate a couple of them for the auction and also she made Sassy a sling out of a baby bumper pad and said she would do a couple of those too (I will include a picture so you can see that)
So who is up to co chair this with me 🙂

I could probably rustle up a quilt by that time.

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
This is shaping up to be fantastic!!! Like I told Michelle on FB, I would be happy to chat on a call about planning, logistics, timeline and procurement stuff ... we just finished our auction at work so it's fresh in my mind. While I haven't done an online auction before, I have done enough silent and live auctions to hopefully offer some wisdom. And am happy to procure stuff... what kinds of things might we be looking for? I would assume stuff that could be used anyway (i.e., not gift certificates to my local spin studio).
My job did do some online auction stuff that was available to anyone ... but not sure it would work for this. It's called Charity Buzz.
Otherwise, I did a quick google search of online auction platforms http://online-a.....views.com/ and maybe one of these would work?

I did a quick google search of online auction...
Thanks everypawdy!
We will likely host the auction right here at Tripawds, with Admin Guy implementing his WordPress magic. So the logistics are covered.
We just need someone to team up with Michelle to start ramping up coordination of item selection, solicitation and gathering, etc. As soon as we have a couple leaders on board, we can provide access to the Google Docs we have started and schedule a call to discuss further.
Fantastic indeed.
Well I did talk to Petsmart here in Council Bluffs and they said they could possibly donate a gift basket or maybe 2 but I am only counting on one for now. I told him I would get back to him when we have it scheduled. Also, I think we should post it on FB or at least the link so that people can see it from there and come to bid & help 🙂
