Yep, there was an article in our newspaper last Sunday (7th Nov). I haven't found the tripawd or his family on here though. His name is Dingo. This site is mentioned in the article. I was having a particularly bad morning (Day 2) and it was a great read. Cheered me up. I would love to get in touch with his family.
Michelle
Ohhh that's neat Michelle! Do you happen to have a link or the name of the newspaper so we can look it up?

I tried sharing the link but when tested it would only go to subscription. Perhaps you'll find it the first time you try. Here's the link: http://www.hera.....y-comments
Otherwise here's the story:
Brave Dingo has dogged determination after leg amputation
December 5, 2015 1:00am
GOOD things come in threes.
Michelle and Matt Schwensen didn’t think that would be the case when they were told their dog, Dingo, had to have her front leg amputated.
A year-long battle with cancer forced their hand and surgery turned Dingo into a “tripawd”.
But within hours of the operation, the seven-year-old staffy-kelpie was back to her tail-wagging best.
“She wasn’t allowed to run or jump for a couple of weeks but she was trying to run around that night,” Mr Schwensen said.
“When she sprints, she’s still the same speed ... She’ll be a frisbee champion in 12 months.”
Vets recommended amputating the leg — and now, three weeks after surgery, Dingo is cancer-free.
Dingo had a cancerous lump the size of a golf ball in her front left leg which was removed several times but kept growing back.
“She’s got the all clear and will live a happy life as a three-legged dog,” Mrs Schwensen said.
“Unlike humans, dogs recover pretty quickly but we were anxious about that and what her quality of life would be.”
“We asked about rehab and the vet must have just thought we were mad ... She’s absolutely fine.”
The Schwensens even discovered Tripawds.com, an online support group for people around the world with three-legged dogs and cats.
“It makes me laugh,” Mrs Schwensen said.
“It’s a whole other world ... But there’s people in the same situation and it’s reassuring that your dog will be okay.”
Pawesome! Thnaks for sharing.
