It's been quite a journey for the past few months or so, and I wanted share some video encouragement for any new or soon to be new Tripawd parents of seniors.

At certain points in the recovery I wasn't sure if Lexie would make it for her one-month ampuversary but as so many wise folks here told me, it actually does get better.

Here's some video evidence of it: Lexie and Tanner at the Tripawds party

Hang in there!

Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.

Sooooo glad you psted that link here!! Going back at looking at that brings back THE best memories of a cmplete love-fest among dogs AND humans!!

These needs to an "introductory video" for all seniors! Not just any seniors...seniors with multiple "challenges" including bad arthritis!!,

And Lexie's mom has a huge role in Lexie doing so well! She did her research, checked out options and pursued everything with one focus...Lexie's over-all well beng and quality!!! And Deb has done a masterful job at providing "treatments" that don't compromise Lexie's zest for life at all! A very fine advocate she is indeed!

And this video is just a snippet of Lexie as the energizer bunny!! It wassoooo funny how Lexie and Tanner had eyes for each other from the start!

Okay, gonna go watch tne video again and get my smile permenently stamped on my heart!!

How is our cougar girl doing? She and you, have such an icredible fighting spirit and we love you both! You BOTH are an inspiration to us all!

Love and higs!

Sally and Happy Hannah

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

You're the best! Thank you for sharing it here, the video really is the embodiment of hope and inspawration for dogs that many folks would feel are "too old" to bounce back from amputation. SO not true! Love it!!!

That is just.... PAWSOME!!!!!   clap

And a great inspiration to any pawrent who is debating on whether their dog/cat is too old?  I did!  When Franklin was diagnosed I thought to myself.. Gawd.. he is almost 14 years old!!!   But we did it.. or should I say.. HE did it!!!!   He got through the surgery and recovery beautifully...  and I do NOT regret it!  Because you just don't know until you try!

Christine... with Franklin in her heart♥

Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012.  Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013.  Always in my heart, and always a guardian angel of my pack...   You can follow his Tripawd Adventures, before and after, in my blog, Frank'n'Farter!

Standing ovation going on for the Seniors!, They are FOREVER an inspairation, as are their parents who saw their spark and knew they weren't done yet!!

Anybody remember "Cool Change" by the wknderful Little River Band"? A line in the song.....something like.......

....."so many different people, showing me the way to go, and I never want to lose their inspiration......"

Of course, we'll add....people and their DOGS showing us the way to go....

Best song in the world!!
