I remember  Sowell wanting recovery to "hurry up, hirry up, hurry up!"  Otherwose, of this is what things are going to look like furever,  I have made a horrible  mistake!!

If I recall, tweaking the pain meds and joining this community on Day Six  helped me from going off the deep end.  Getting reassurance   from those who had been through this journey and understood  all the "normal temporary ecovery  ups and downs* was invaluable.

signs of stiffness when moving is not comfort, he may still be experiencing pain. It's early in recovery

his breathing is very fast and heavy.

As Jerry noted, these are pain signals So please do not reduce his pain meds at this point (unless the Vet says so)

I started thinking I could reduce my Hapoy Hannah's  pain meds around the end of the two week mark.  Nope, in her case I needed to keep them going into the third week and reducing  them at the end of thst week.

Boston's muscles are sore from adjusting to his new gait.  One of the "down sides" of feeling a bit spunky the first few days leads to sore muscles  for overdoing.  It takes soooo little to overdo at first.

We know this part is hard, but continue  to stay up beat and pawsitive around Boston. His sparkle will come back....may start with tail wags....may start by barking at something.....it will come back!

Hugs

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
