Johnnie is a front-leg Tripawd, so his hopping is his "new normal".
Our morning walks aren´t walks, but what I call "parcours", because nowadays I let him go wherever he wants and I go along, alternating between faster and slower jogging. It is more strenuous than the regular walking, so this means a couple of stops, especially on the way back home. He runs a block, and then lies down to rest. What used to be a 15-minute walk now takes around 40 minutes. He uses a Ruffwear Webmaster harness .

Our awesome Golden Boy was diagnosed for OSA in April 2014 in the proximal humerus, front-leg amp on 05/20/2014. Finished chemo (Carbo6) on 07/10/2014. Ongoing treatment: acupuncture + K-9 Immunity Plus ( 3chews) and home-cooked no-grain diet. Stopped Apocaps because of liver issues. Liver issues: controlling altered enzymes with SAM-e and Milk Thistle. October 17: started having seizures. Taking fenobarbital for seizures. April 18: started prednisone.
Wonderful to hear Marley is doing well! Absolutely amazing!!!
I just had a big DUH moment on your post under Ask A vet. I didn't realize this was Marley and asked yoj to start a thread and tell us more about your dog!!! Duh!!!
Yeah, the whole chemo visit can wear them out and make them tired...but it's a good tired!!. Eating drinking okay? Sounds like recovery has gone very smoothly. I know stairs are stil a challenge....but three flights of stairs is a pretty tall order for a senior tripawd this early in recovery!
Keep on keeping on Marley! You rock!!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Hi Rebecca and Marley!
My little boy is 2 weeks post op and while he's a puppy and a front rear amp, I just wanted you to know that we are experiencing very similar post amp symptoms. He's got a very definite hop and it took him over 2 days to go poo. So...all sounds normal to me! I hope Marley does well in chemo, she sounds like a strong girl!
Wishing you the best,
AJ and Jaime
