Ya' know, the best part of this post is that Eddie is HAPPY and is doing all the things that make him HAPPY 😁   Playing with his Kong, wagging, barking, letting you  know when he's  ready for dinner...looooove it!!!  Yes, of course we want him to be able to get up on his own and walk unassisted .  However, Eddie could care less since he has ypu so well trained!    Being "assisted"  doesn't seem to bother Eddie at all!!!

OKAY, there were a couple more "best parts" to this post!  Eddie IS making improvements  at his own pace in the area of mobility!  Sitting up on his own, walking assisted inside....EXCELLENT!!!  BRAVO EDDIE!

Okay, one more "best part"........upi are the best cheerleader a dog could have!!!!   You let Eddie know that everything  he does is a monumental  victory!😎

Keep in impressing is Eddie!  Your girlfriends are so smitten with you!😙😚

Hugs

Thank you for your kind words, Sally!

Eddie just completed a whirlwind 3 days of post-op appointments. He saw his sports medicine DVM for acupuncture and post-op assessment Tuesday in which she was so happy to see him so bright and happy. He did well for all of her stability tests and enjoyed his acu! Wednesday he saw his regular DVM / surgeon for staple removal and he gave him the “all clear” to start intensive rehab. Today he started hydrotherapy and did fantastic! We expected him to need a lot of help, and prepared an Arsenal of Tools but he needed nothing more than a little tech assistance!

I am a prior rehab vet tech and he did better then some 4-leggers I have started in the tank! Everyone was so happy! He will continue this twice a week and slowly we will add in land work.

I am SO PROUD of him! I hope these therapies will help him gain some confidence and strength and allow him more improved mobility at home in the weeks / months to come! 🙂

Rehab must have helped him gain some confidence because tonight we can’t keep him down, he is all over the house, isn’t the steadiest but he is really trying and happy! 🙂

I am so proud of him and so happy for him! This morning he greeted me standing and tail wagging when I left for a few minutes and tonight when I came home from work to let him out; he walked over to me!

I am so excited to watch him progress further - slow and steady! 😍

Thank you, Sally! He continues to improve in rehab and will start “land” exercises next week. He is gettting around the house better, still slips if he gets off carpet and needs support outside but improving each day! A little sore this weekend but he gives it rehab every Tuesday / Thursday so the 4 days off I think throws him off a little! Eating like a champ, and off gabapentin! Only on his Meloxicam and Arnica. I am SO proud!
