Today is Zack's 3-month milestone!!! I remember how scared and nervous we felt just 3 months ago, and to see the progress Zack has made is simply amazing.
I think he might even know, as he performed a 'first' today - after feeding him breakfast, I went back upstairs to bed, and then heard him whining at the bottom of the stairs (NOT a first). My husband got up to go get him, and imagine our surprise when he was greeted by Zack AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS!!!! The bugger nosed open the baby gate at the bottom of the stairs & came up completely on his own!!!!!
We couldn't ask for a better 3-month ampuversary gift, either!
Zack, King of Dogs, 1996 to 2010
Zack lived a full 14 years, even to the end.
The joy and memories he provided us will last a lifetime.
Surviving him is his sister, Izzy, a 12-year-old boxer mix quadpawd.
And the latest addition, Zula, an 11-month-old pit bull mix tripawd.
Good job Zack! Congratulations for all of your accomplishments! it's wonderful to hear he's doing so well. I'm so happy for you!
It was near 3 months was when I started to notice Isabelle getting much more daring. She actively avoids me now if she wants to run down the stairs, or run completely across the beach to see her friends, after I carry her from the parking lot....or pick up a cat by his only remaining back leg
happy 3 months Zack and what a great job of going up those steps! Keep up the good work!!

Love Never Ends
Cathy and Zack,
What a great way to start a deserving celebration. We understand that Zack was only trying to tell you that things need to get back to normal, or as we used to say "the new normal". Three months is definitely a milestone that deserves a great celebration with all the usual trimmings - Extra Hugs, Extra Playtime, Special Treats, and ICE CREAM. We believe that each and every day we get to be with our special companions is day for celebration, but such milestones as yours is cause to let us look back, remember just how far we have come, and look forward to tomorrow. Live each and every day with the joy that our warriors show us, and Zack's little trip was just a reminder that they only want to live in the day with everything normal. We will be celebrating vicariously and will be sure to say a special thanks for Zack's great milestone. However, we do hope that the very wet weather that we are having here in Northern California today and tomorrow does not make it too difficult for all our warriors as it moves to the East.
Looking forward to many more antics and celebrations.
