I am SO happy to be done with the yucky IV stuff. Doc says my lungs are clear so far and I keep getting A+ on my blood tests ( I didn't even know I was taking tests??). Mum says I am starting Metronomic therapy in two weeks as a preventative measure so yet another pill to add to my daily dose of various capsules. I think I get more supplements than food  laughing. Luckily they are mostly disguised in yummy canned food and I gobble them down. The addition of grain free canned food has been a GREAT side effect of getting the nasty "C" - I didn't get canned food before, it's sooooo delish! I've resolved to NEVER let Mum take that away - I'll go on a hunger strike. I think I get Metacam with this Metronomic stuff too so that's good cause it makes my arthritis feel better and then I can REALLY get after those nasty vermin gophers. Happy Spring everypawdy!!

Tai

Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.

Good for you Tai! Glad to hear all of your great news. Also glad to hear the onco is putting Tai on metronomics . Did she suggest that even without your asking? Wow. You definitely went to the right clinic.

Completing chemo is a huge achievement.  Way to go Tai!  Enjoy that great food, I'm sure you won't need to go on strike, these humans are easily trained to do whatever the cancer patient wants.

Tai,

Finishing chemotherapy really is a big deal. Miss Cherry did not start to turn the corner until the chemotherapy was done. It was a constant struggle to get her to eat while that horrible chemical taste was in her mouth. However, regarding holding out for a continued gormet diet - be sure to add ICE CREAM to the requirements. It was Miss Cherry's favorite and along with Soy Milk, it was the one constant that we could depend upon.

Now with that episode behind you - go get those gophers.

Yay Tai!  Congratulations on starting another "leg" of your journey 🙂  It's sweet to be done with treatments and get on to being a dog (can't you just imagine them playing "i'm a dog! I'm a dog! I'm a dog!" over and over in their little heads?!?!?).  Glad you're doing so super-dee-duper, and you keep on enjoying life to the fullest!  AROOOOO!!!!
