Just wanted to send a big shout-out to my best girl, Woo, on this her 11-month ampuversary. My, how the months have flown... Though it hasn't all been smooth sailing, and certainly there have been days when the battle has gotten the better of us, but my girl is here, she's still fighting and that simple fact has made this whole journey worthwhile. And as long as she's willing to fight, I'll be right beside her!
Here's to our pals, the February Furballs! And here's to the rest of you mighty dogs showing your peeps how to live life large one moment at a time! Cookies, hamburgers, ice cream, steak, etc. for EVERYPAWDY!!!!

Jackie & Abby
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
My momma rocks!!! She knows how much I've been wanting one of Abby's Flying Dutchmans, but the nearest In-and-Out Burger joint is a 10-hour drive from here. So she went to our local burger place and had them make one just for me (well, for me and the monkey girls -- mom said I had to share). It was AWESOME!!!!!!

Jenna & Spirit Chili Dawg
Diagnosed with OSA: 5/2/2011 Ampuversary: 5/11/2011 OSA returned in hip: 8/26/2011
Chili Dawg crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 8/30/2011 & is now pain free. He was my heart dog, and I miss him every day.
Oh damn, Rio, that looks GOOD. I just had a flying dutchman last night. I guess I should tell my mama to buy me another one tonight so that I can celebrate with you!
{And I don't have to share with no monkeybutts! Heehee for me!}
Kisses,
Abby

Spirit Samson was Spirit Tripawd Daisys four legged "brother" and ruled as the self proclaimed head of the Monkeybutt Federations East Coast Division. Lady Chunky Monkey stayed from Oct 2011 and left for the bridge in Apr 2012. Miss Perdy is left and has some big pawprints to fill.
