We are so happy to be posting that we are celebrating Tasha's 18 month ampuversary!
Not bad for a girl that 21 months ago got a diagnoses of cancer, surgery was scheduled, she was on the table ready for surgery when her Dr. inflated her lungs before starting her amputation and found suspicious lesions in her lungs and cancelled her surgery. Tasha was sent home on pain meds to keep her comfortable for as long as possible. We were heartbroken. Eventually a little over 3 months later Tasha did have her amputation and has been our miracle girl ever since. Today Tasha is still doing good with the exception of her continuing back problems. I had hoped she would be able to be taken off Rimadyl but I think at this point she will have to continue to use it for the rest of her life.
We continue to spoil, love and feel very blessed to have our big happy, funny girl with us to celebrate 18 months of living life
on 3 legs and loving every minute of it. Yay Tasha, you are my hero!Tasha 8 years old, First cancer diagnosis 6/26/09, Last cancer diagnosis 9/26/09, Amputation 10/01/09, Loving our girl moment by moment.
Tasha lost her battle and became my Angel on May 4 2011. Forever in my heart….
Congratulations Tasha and family!! 18 months is super spectacular Enjoy this special day (and all of the days to follow.) I hope your back problems can be managed and you continue to live life to the fullest for many months to come!
Lisa, Ranger, Spirit Sadie, and Monkeydog Athena
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Hoppy 18 months Tasha! That is outstanding! you just keep on keeping on you miracle girl!
