We've come a long way baby! I can't believe, a little over a year ago we were crushed with the diagnosis of osteosarcoma. After a week long discussion we made the decision to amputate. A sort of peace came over us once we made the decision but also a lot of fear of what the future held. As I have said before, we had goals after her amputation...get her to her next birthday which was 3 months post amp and get her through another season of swimming. Missions accomplished. Did we dare to dream she could actually make it to the 1 year mark? We sure did and here we are! She continues to amaze us with her capabilities. She plays like a pup (with a little more resting in between) and has taught us all to Be More Dog A lot of people have said it before me, but I have to say it again, we never would have come this far without Tripawds and it's very special community.
The beginning of this journey...
Her pawesome summer of swimming...
Still rockin' the Tripawd life...
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
Thank you so much...we are just bursting with pride and happiness!

Hoppy, hoppy ampuversary, Libby! You deserve a great big celebration. Can anyone say CAKE?
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
What a great day!!! Happy Happy!!!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Happy, happy one year ampuversary to beautiful Libby
Keep kicking cancer's butt sweet girl!
Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
Thank you!! Libby's "steak" was a frozen treat made of blueberries, bananas, peanut butter and yogurt. Yum! Libby wants Marley to know she will do just fine in the water! Her life vest is a big help

ps: That snow looks mighty nice on you. Enjoy!
ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
How exciting!! Hoppy Ampuversary Libby! A great reason to celebrate the whole week!
