Since we had to set Skyler free. It's been a really tough 12 months for us - with losing Skyler, then losing her sister Chloe 2 months ago, and then my cancer...but we are thankful for all that we do have in our lives. The gift of having Skyler & Chloe will forever live in our hearts. Instead of crying, we now celebrate their lives, and our lives with them.
Not a day goes by that we don't think of Sky. She was such a trooper to go through the amputation, and then chemo.
And not a day goes by that I don't think of everyone here at Tripawds. You've been so supportive - giving advice, making me laugh OUT LOUD....just being my friend. I cherish all of you.
So, for tomorrow...I ask that each of you give your fur-babies an extra hug, and an extra treat....in loving memory of Skyler. And for those of you who recently lost your pup...take comfort in knowing that Skyler is playing with them.

It is hard for me to believe it has been a year. You have had a really tough year, and we are thankful you are still in our lives. It is easy to leave the familiar when your heart aches, but you have been a blessing to so many of us here. You have been so strong, so kind, so supportive even in facing the trials of the year.
Duke will celebrate Sky's life with a special treat this evening, just as you wish.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
we too will celebrate skyler's bravery and loyalty. the year has flown, seems just months ago we said good bye. your family shows us how important it is to capture the moments and be brave in the face of adversity. thanks for continuing to be part of our lives and for helping all of us realize what the important stuff really is.
charon & gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
OH MY GOSH! A year??! Her spirit was so strong that we never noticed it had been a year! I know how hard its been losing the two of them in this last year but the Monkeyboys will get an extra treat to honor their memory for sure!
I know this year rather sucked for a lot of us but gosh, it's also been wonderful in so many ways since we all found each other!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
I haven't been around as much because of a more-busy life, but I want to join in the extra hug and extra treat to honor Skyler. These are the important moments!

Cemil and mom Mary, Mujde and Radzi….appreciating and enjoying Today
A year? Already? It can't be.
Skyler, that wild boy Wyatt will get extra hugs and treats now because of you. He's asleep right now...Mom's gonna go nudge him and whisper your pretty name in his ear.
It's always our hope that our members can have long, long lives after amputation. When they don't, it hits everypawdy hard. What an honor it is when pawrents come back to support one another, despite the losses that they too have experienced. You and Jane have been through SO much, yet there you are, smiling and treasuring life itself. What lessons your girls have taught you! And how fortunate WE are to have you as a part of this community.
Lots of group hugs coming your way.
Skyler, you will always live on here and in our hearts.

Holly and Zuzu will get extra hugs and treats in honor of Skyler for sure. Sending big hugs and wheaten kisses across the miles to you...
Hugs,
Holly, Zuzu and Susan
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

We didn't know Skyler but we can certainly appreciate the milestone. Extra Tate and Sammy-time today in her honor, what a legacy she has left.

TATE ~ Forever in our hearts.
Oh my, can't believe that it's been a year. I've been nostalgically listening to Stevie Wonder songs...why? I have no idea, but I do know that many of his songs can totally describe our beautiful golden girls....like...You are the Sunshine of My Life (lyrics are perfect) and then there's Golden Lady, As and so on. My husband saw me crying and asked what was wrong. I told him that I'm missing Mackenzie while listening to Stevie Wonder. Ok...I'm crazy. So my tears are for you too...Skylar and Chloe. May all of our golden girls (including our Catie Caitlin) and tripawd hereos be playing up in heaven together. What a beautiful and wonderful thought! Just warms my heart!
Here's to good health and lots of golden hugs to you!
Kami, Angel M, Kobe and Scarlett
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
