Tomorrow Queen Nova celebrates her 8th birthday! She also (as of the 11th of January) is celebrating over 38 months post-amputation. I feel like I am repeating myself, but I never in a million years ever thought that (with all of her health issues over the years) we ever would have made it to 8 years (which might not sound old, but is "golden years" for a Dane) much less over 38 GLORIOUS CANCER-FREE MONTHS. I know all of this good fortune will not last forever, but for now I treasure each and every day I have with my beautiful "Miracle Girl on 3 Paws". She remains happy and healthy (aside from the occasional pesky UTI). Once again, I want to say over and over and over... we NEVER could have made this journey without the love and support from this WONDERFUL community of the most caring, supportive pawrents. You guys are simply the best. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for helping the Queen and I make this journey.
Dane Mom Sue and Queen Nova
Dane Mom Sue at nova.tripawds.com and Mom to Beautiful Great Dane Queen Nova, a Blind Tripawd, who kicked cancer's butt from 11/08-03/13. The Queen is Spirit Nova now, but her legacy lives on here at Tripawds!
congrats on your 8th birthday, and on 38 months of kicking cancer's butt!!!! enjoy your day - we'll celebrate here in ET with extra cheese!!!
charon & spirit gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
Happy Birthday to my favorite Dane. You are the queen and the rock star. You give hope when folks are struggling, you are inspiring (as is your mom)
Wishing the two of you the very best day possible. I'll be celebrating with you!
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Happy Birthday to the Queen!
And 38 months, well, I can't think of anything new to say. You just keep hopping along, leading by example, kicking cancers butt. I almost always point new members to the Queen's blog for inspiration, and a reason to have hope when they start the cancer journey.
Keep it up Your Majesty!

Congrats, congrats, congrats!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Congratulations to Nova and many happy returns! The fuzzballs had some almonds and turkey jerky and the humans are breaking out the adult beverages and will toast the Queen. (The youngster had some gummy bears!) Party on!
Shari
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
Hoppy birthday, your Majesty!
Congratulations on this MAJOR milestone! Break out the pawty hats and noisemakers!!! Let's eat cake!

Congratulations! We continue to be amazed and inspired by the Queen. (that's the "royal 'we'" there...)
Let them eat cake, indeed!
Jackie, Angel Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
All hail the Queen! All hail the Queen!
May she reign for all eternity, we are honored to be her subjects!
Hoppy birthday miracle girl, we love you.

Jenna & Spirit Chili Dawg
Diagnosed with OSA: 5/2/2011 Ampuversary: 5/11/2011 OSA returned in hip: 8/26/2011
Chili Dawg crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 8/30/2011 & is now pain free. He was my heart dog, and I miss him every day.
Spirit Samson was Spirit Tripawd Daisys four legged "brother" and ruled as the self proclaimed head of the Monkeybutt Federations East Coast Division. Lady Chunky Monkey stayed from Oct 2011 and left for the bridge in Apr 2012. Miss Perdy is left and has some big pawprints to fill.
