I would like to thank all of you who have helped Haley and Denali as they have had to start down this road we have all been on already. When Haley first wrote the forum she was quite anxious about the whole situation and since she lived close to us I told her she could come down to see Gus and see life is quite normal once they have healed. We have been e-mailing every day since then about this whole process as far as what to expect, how to handle different parts of the journey, etc, and I think we were able to get her to a point of some comfort about dogs and cancer. When she told me when her surgery was I mentioned to let the tripawd family know as they are a wonderful support group and well as offering advice and suggestions, and you didn't let me down. I can't imagine going down this road without any of you, and with the unfortunate circumstances some of the members have had lately, even then you come through, so thank you all for support and all you have contributed, not only to myself and Gus or Haley, but to all the people who have been and will be here in the future with the same anxiety or fears we all had when we were in that same point of this crappy journey, at least we can all say we know how you feel and help those who have more trouble handling some things more than others. What a great place to be, and I might say, have had some fun while going down this road. Sure wish we were all close enough to have a big three legged party, paws up Gus and Dan
My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010
This forum has been a big help!! Cancer is so overwhelming - I think I would have taken the diagnosis WAY better if the doctor told me I had cancer instead of my dog.
Dan - I'd love to bring Denali over (if Gus would allow it) when she's feeling better and the stitches are out. I'm sure she'll be back to riding shotgun in no time!

Thanks! We're so happy Tripawds is helping so many. Jerry would be proud. But it is the support of this community that makes this site what it has become.
