I was a wreck before my boy's amputation of his front left arm. Some posts made me feel really good and other's showed me the rough possibilities. I gotta say though, animals are amazing! Within 2-3 hours of bringing him home (high as could be mind you) he was hopping around with no more falling. Within a few days I could see him contemplating jumping up on the bed, I helped him up and down at first. The day before his sutures came out and he was free to roam the house again I left him alone in the room and came back to him at the top of a cat tree. I'm so happy we went through this. It's an adjustment, for me mostly lol, but I got my boy back. He's sleeping with me again and back to his slightly social ways.
I really wanted to share my new favorite picture, but I'm on my phone and don't know how to do it. He's on the top step laying down with his hind legs and has his front leg on the next step down. It's so cute.
Anyway, ramble ramble thanks for all the help!
Hey there, welcome! What is your Trikitty's name? He is so lucky to have you as a parent!
We are honored that this community could be there for you during such a scary time. And we really look forward to getting to know you both. What is your boy's name? Tell us more!
We have these instructions for adding images to the Forums. If you’d like help figuring out the process let me know. It’s pretty easy:
- Upload pics to a photo sharing site like imgur.com or your own Tripawds blog
- Right click and copy the Image URL
- Return to your Tripawds Forum post and paste the image URL (or the image itself if possible) in your post. It should automatically appear.
