2 years ago today Nova was here at home with my husband recovering from her amp while my son and I ran a Turkey Trot! One that just the year before I had run with Nova. This morning we ran that race again, and as I was running I was moved to tears as I thought of all of the things I was thankful for. My sweet girl Nova is still here, 2 years after her diagnosis and amputation.... It is just so incredible to have her still here with us. Next weekend is the Jinglefest festival in our town, where I took Nova to see Santa just a few weeks after her amp 2 years ago. Next weekend we will be going back for a 3rd time, something I never thought would happen. I just can't wait to show those people at the Santa booth (who were in tears last year because they expected that Nova would not make it a year) that my big girl is still with us.
Rene, Jim, and Spirit Jerry... I am so very thankful for Tripawds. We never could have made it through this journey without the gift you have given us... This awesome, supportive community. Without you, we would not have this precious resource. Thank you so very much for all you have done for us. Two years ago I was lost and confused and devastated at Nova's diagnosis. Her oncologist led us to the story of Moose, our first inpawration, who led us to Tripawds.
I am also incredibly thankful for all of the members of this wonderful Tripawds family, thank you for all the support you've given us on this journey.
Peace, love, licks, leans, and beef trachea....

What a great post, Sue! We're thankful for you - Queen Nova is such an inspawration to us. Just as others have inspired you, you have inspired us!
Happy Thanksgiving indeed! Two years is so amazing!
