I know I've blubbered my thank you over the phone Jim but I want to thank you publicly for making tripawds.com "dark". And to let everyone know what a special and sensitive person you are. Some of us tend to forget that our admin has feelings and isn't just sitting on a keyboard making everything run right.
For those that don't know the back story…this past summer I made a dumb joke that if something happened to Comet, all of the stops should be pulled out and one was I wanted tripawds to go dark like they do here on the Las Vegas Strip when they lose a special entertainer.
Brett can attest to my uncontrollable emotions when I saw it! (I think he thought I was having a heart attack over the phone!)
I am most grateful to everyone here and will thank you all. But I want a special thank you to Jim, our admin guy because this is one of the most thoughtful things anyone could do.
Thank you,
Angel Comet's mom

Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
You made Admin cry. And you made me look up my personal account password! Just for that, Tripawds shall remain dark another day. Because you deserve a personal thank you on behalf of the entire Tripawds community – for all you have done to make the club nobody ever wants to join, such a happy place to commiserate.
And now, an encore presentation to make you smile...

Wow, this is just so cool, Jim. What an awesome tribute to Comet. Just perfect.
Sue and Nova
Dane Mom Sue at nova.tripawds.com and Mom to Beautiful Great Dane Queen Nova, a Blind Tripawd, who kicked cancer's butt from 11/08-03/13. The Queen is Spirit Nova now, but her legacy lives on here at Tripawds!
A very fitting tribute indeed – Comet certainly held a very special presence on THIS "Strip". Thank you, Jim.
That video always makes me laugh - thanks for that, too. We love you, Cometdog - and will miss you more than words can express.

"Going Dog" def: living every day in the moment
"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."

I always loved this video, especially the end - I can just imagine how Comet would really be saying this....thank you Jim for darkening the website for our dear friends Comet and Ge'Lena. They have brought so much laughter and happiness to all of us here on tripawds and it's been such an honor to know them. I don't know what we'll do without our sassy, pretty-in-pink monkeybutt sister but I do know that you will be sorely missed Cometdog!
We love you Cometdog!!! (Ok, just not ready yet to say Angel Comet)
Kami, Angel Mackenzie and Kobe
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Comet always made me feel like going "WEEEeeeeeeeeee. Weeee. Weeee. Weee." Thanks Admin guy. Comet would love that Tripawds has gone dark for her. Pink stands out so well against a dark background and we know how good Comet looks in pink. Not all girl dogs can pull that color off, but Comet was a master. We love you Comet!
A beautiful tribute to Comet! Admin Guy is the best
RIP sweet Comet.

That is very kind, and a fitting tribute to Comet. Ge'Lena and Comet have brightened our lives immeasurably. There have been many times where I felt like I was falling and Cometdog came and cheered me up. So thanks for acknowledging how important she is here.
I love the WEEeeee, it makes me laugh whenever I see it!

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Classy, fitting, wonderful tribute. That's simply awesome, Jim. And throwing in the "WEEEeeeee" - that will always make me laugh.
Rest in peace, Comet.

I'm glad we are grown up otherwise someone might call us immature! I laughed so hard when he did that for me!
