I feel kind of bad posting this what with all of the horribly sad losses we have had recently but Tai had her 6 month ampuversary yesterday. I was out of town but am making up for it by giving her LOTS of hugs, kisses, tummy rubs, and yummy tripe for dinner. Each wonderful Tripawd that we lose makes me appreciate even more whatever time I get to spend with Tai and makes me feel blessed to have had these past 6 months with her. Happy Hoppy Ampuversary to my bestest bestest friend and the greatest dog I have ever known. Many more Tai!!!! Love you my best girl xxx
Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.
I'll tell you what everyone has told me. Never feel badly about posting the victories. We all need to see them. They are what light the way and show the newcomers there is hope - there is always hope.
Congratulations Tai on the 6 months. That is an awesome milestone. Hope you have many, many more to come.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Please don't feel bad about posting good news. We all need to have the celebrations. Six months is great and I wish Tai many, many more.
Debra & Angel Emily
Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
Congrats Tai- 6 months is awesome!!
Here's to many, many more.
Please don't feel bad about posting good news- we all need good news. To expand on what I said in an earlier post in another forum today:
You are not being insensitive, you should not feel bad about posting good news- in this community we do it all together.
Just as all of you have mourned Maggie's passing with me, I want to enjoy and celebrate all of your tripawd's good times and victories.
Karen and the pug girls
Happy 6 Month Ampuversary Tai! That is so pawesome! As everyone has said, don't feel bad about posting your good news - we can all certainly use some good news right about now. Mackenzie will be going on her 8th month soon and I feel very blessed as well. So keep up the good fight Tai! Here's to many, many more ampuversaries, celebrations and ice cream to come!
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
It's great news like this that keeps us pawsitive and hopeful that our pups will beat the odds, please don't ever feel bad for this kind of great news, k? We all need it here, always.
Congrats Tai! Six months is such a victory! Woooo hoooo!!!!!

Congratulations Tai! Six months! And here's to six more! (and six more....) Sadie says she wants steak to celebrate! Since it's 10pm, she's gettin' balogna (and she won't complain).
Hugs and sloppy Sadie kisses,
Lisa & Sadie
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Love Never Ends
Happy 6 month ampuversary, Tai! Holly loves tripe, too - so she'll get an extra scoop of it today! And a tripe chewy, too - all in your honor! Way to go - you are our hero! We do need some good news - so thanks for posting!
Hugs,
Holly, Zuzu and Susan
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!
