Extra treats all around!!!! Tai has a double reason to celebrate. She turned 9 on August 15th AND she had her 8 month ampuversary on the 21st.
Way to go Tai Dog - keep fighting the good fight.
Laura
Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.
Laura and Tai,
A double celebration is in order. I was lucky that we did not get the diagnosis until just before I turned eleven. In fact, I turned eleven the day before I became a TriPawd. I can remember when I turned twelve and celebrated my twelve month ampuversary the very next day. Dad had a Three Day Celebration for the occasion. This may give you some ideas, but if I do the math right, you will have to celebrate for nearly a week!! Works for us.
Any way, make sure you have all the requirements - extra hugs, extra play time, special treats, and ICE CREAM!! Dad says that you should never take these special milestones for granted and should really have a great time. We will be celebrating vicariously and want you to know just how much we are enjoying this great milestone. Be sure to post photos of the PAWRTY!
Spirit Cherry
Yes definetly a long, double celebration with ice cream, cheese, steak, or what ever Tai loves best and lots of it! Well not too too much because our tripawds need to maintain a healthy weight, but go nuts then go play! Celebrate good times!
-Chloe's mom
Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
Happy birthday Tai! Happy ampuversary too! What a great celebration! Sadie will celebrate her 8 month ampuversary about two weeks before her 10th birthday on Oct 31st. I'm looking forward to a 2 week celebration! Enjoy this special time.
Hugs and sloppy Sadie kisses,
Lisa & Sadie
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.
