Beef trachea all around!!!!
Tai happily celebrated her 9 month ampuversary today. She's not one for loving ice cream but for those of you who do - have an extra scoop for her. The weather isn't great but Friday's supposed to be nice so its a trip to the dog park and a stop at McD's for a chesseburger on the way home. Life's great!!
She starts on Palladia next week in an effort to halt the lung mets. Keeping our paws crossed but facing reality and living "DOG".
Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.
I will give Chloe some treats tomorrow! I don't buy ice cream because otherwise I would eat it... Chloe and I hope the best for Tai and hoppy 9 month ampuversary!!!
-Chloe's mom
Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
Happy 9 Month Ampuversary Tai! That's pawesome! We will definitely be doing a lot of celebrating in your honor. Love your banner on mets:
Mets? We don't care 'bout no stinkin' mets!!! We have a life to live!
That's a perfect way of looking at these stinkin' lung mets! You go Tai!
Let us know how you do on the palladia - here's keeping our paws crossed that you'll do just great!
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Congratulations Miss Tia on a great nine months. Hope you have a great day at the park and really enjoy that McD treat on the way home. Don't know yet what Trouble will get as a treat, but we'll think of something - maybe some extra turkey!
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.

That's a hoppy day for sure Tai!
As a matter of fact, I'm making it an ice cream hoppy hour here at home! We'll buy the first round and toast our paper cups in your honor!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Happy Ampuversary, Tai!!! We will certainly have some special treats in your honor tonight! And Holly had her first McDonald's hamburger a few weeks ago and has now moved that to the top of her treat list. So she may be joining you for one of those!
Hugs,
Holly, Zuzu and Susan
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Great News Tai!! Dad often talks about celebrating the successes of Cassy and Sandy with McDonald's Quarter Pounders, so if that works then it should be the treat of the day. Those Quarter Pounder "bribes" resulted in one of the best obedience trial consistency records in the area. We sincerely hope that this prescription will yield as much success for you.
However, do not forget the rest of the ampuversary checklist, Extra Hugs, Extra Playtime and Other Special Treats. You deserve all the pampering possible for reaching this great milestone.
Best of luck with the Palladia. We are praying the you have great success and will celebrate many more ampuversaries. Perhaps Dad should buy stock in McDonald's if this is going to be another TriPawd tradition?
