So, last Sunday evening Sully and I made an appearance on our local Humane Society's telethon. It was a gas and Sully had the time of his life so far. He spent a few months in the care of the HS and was saved through their "Faith Fund" which paid for his amputation. While in recovery Sully made a lot of friends and won hearts with his loving character. There were lots of hugs and petting before and after we went on from literally dozens of folks and my guy was in his glory.
They made a 3 minute video telling his backstory and included pictures from my blog of him playing with Yukon...beautiful.
After a brief interview, I plugged Tripawds and the show went on to set a record, $57,000 raised...and their goal was $50,000.
A great success! And Sully, god bless him did his part. I am so proud of him.

I asked for a copy of the show...the producers said they would do it but I think it may be a while... my wife took video in the studio but I haven't processed it yet and have no idea if the audio is audible:wink:
I'll blog about it soon.

WOWSA! That is fantastic!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Cool - I assumed you were closer to Saskatoon. Tazzie and I drove through Regina a few times when going from WPG to Calgary or back. It was always pouring rain which I know is really weird. You are only 7 hours away That is nothing in Canadian distances (I guess you know that, ha). I sure wish Tazzie was still here so they could visit! He was half pyrenees and would have LOVED Sully. He LOVED all dogs and humans, but seemed particularly keen on the one or two pyrenees we met over the years.
