I think I'm dreaming!!! 10 MONTHS?!?!?!? Like, are you kidding me!!!? Never would I have believed that with Jack having been limping for 8 months before diagnosis, then being diagnosed high grade-highly productive osteosarcoma, that he would still be here 10 months later. And not just living, but thriving. He amazes me every day (this morning he jumped into the air and did a 180, then this evening he ran around terrorizing a French Bulldog...but to be fair, she started it). He's currently on my bed mowing down on a marrow bone and looking like he doesn't have a care in the world. I think we could all learn a lesson or two from our 3-legged snuggle bears. Happy Ampuversary, Buddy!!!
<3 Mommy
Happy Ampuversary, indeed! They are just too amazing aren't they? I try to learn from Troubls, she's so laid back! Congrats to you and Buddy, 10 months is worth a great big celebration.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
With all the success that you are having, isn't about time they promote you to "Admiral" Jack. I could not be happier with the success that you are experiencing. Now Dad would say something about every day together is a day for celebration, but reaching a milestone as great as 10 Months is definately a reason for PAWRTY. I think that Mom and Dad did start their celebration for I noticed that they were having an extra special meal tonight rather than waiting until Easter. I hope that you had extra hugs, more play time, special treats (like the marrow bone) and of course my favorite way of celebrating ICE CREAM. You deserve all the attention, but tell your Mom to just lay back and enjoy these great months together. She is just going to have to get used to posting more of these Ampuversaries.
For my Mom and Dad, this will be the first Easter without an egg hunt in almost two decades. Yes, I did go out last year and find my eggs. Boy they were good!!! In fact, hard cooked eggs became a staple of my diet once we made it past chemotherapy. You should talk your Mom into giving you one, maybe even letting you find your own in the back yard, peeling it, and then eating it on the spot. It's Fun!!
Well, I will close with a salute to the Captain Jack – you just keep on leading them down this Ampuversary Parade!!

Yay CrackerJack!! I know just what you mean by needing to pinch yourself. It is hard to believe when you see things you never thought you'd see again. Jacker's success is amaaazzzing. (Yep, you guessed it. You get 10 gold stars.)
I am especially happy to hear about youngsters like Jack (and Nova is a youngster isn't she, even if she is our Queen and can't see so well) who do so well. It just seems so especially unfair when they get sick that it is nice to hear when they get more time. Keep it up Jack - I bet your Mum is starting to look ahead to an even Bigger Pawty in two months!! We Can't Wait!
Do we get to see the latest Jack video soon?

NO NO NO don't get pinched - if it's a dream it's a GREAT one and worth enjoying. It's so encouraging to hear the fabulous milestones that our tripawd group are reaching. Keep on kickin' some serious "C" butt Jackaroo - and hope you get lots and lots more marrow bones on Mum's bed. Go crazy!

Tai and Tai's exec assistant Laura
Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.
Captain Jack, you give me inspiration! I can't wait 'till I celebrate my 10 month ampuversary. I only have 8.25 months to go, and because of great guys like you, I know it can be done.
Sadie
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.
